Q: are the batteries replaceable?

The batteries are built in the of the item, so unfortunately it not possible to change the batteries

Q: Is there a switch to turn on the lights? I can't see through the packaging. I'm giving this as a gift, so don't want to open them.

Its in the middle of the ninja start where the batteries are, you cant see the button but you squeeze the middle, it should turn on

Easy to turn on, just push the button on the middle of the toy. My 5yo son loves it and can turn it on himself
