It's a Park Tool, cry once buy once
It worked perfectly. It is offically the right tool for the job. I was annoyed I couldn't use a hack of some sort, but when I sucked it up and bought the tool, the bottom bracket came right now. I replaced it with a sealed cartridge unit and the 1991 Cannondale M500 rides again.
