UrthLens Mount Adapter: Compatible with Rollei SL35 (QBM) Lens to Sony E Camera Body

Worth the price. Was able to mount it on a Contax G lens within seconds out of the box.
I read so many reviews on Contax G to Sony E adapters. Most of the best reviews went to adapters that were hundreds of dollars. This adapter had no reviews for this particular coupling and I could find nothing online outside of the Urth website. I tried 2 other converters, both returned for various reasons (from unable to properly attach to, or not staying on once it was supposedly locked). However, in less than a minute, I was able to attach the Urth adapter to the lens. It secured tightly and was able to be mounted the camera, also securely. The focus ring is smooth and was able to easily use my 35-70 lens on my Sony A7III with no issue. Definitely recommended over the competition.

Looks good, but finishes and precision is definitely off.
This lens adapter mates nicely to my A7R IV. The lens side, however... is very tight. Feels like tolerances are definitely not perfect. Disheartening, since this is the best looking adapter out there. As far as retention/release springs go, this one is very selective as it's pretty weak. I'm having some issues disengaging certain lenses as well as mounting others (have to depress the button on the lens side at times). It was also unfortunate (and fortunate on my part) that the adapter came with a bunch of fine metal debris on it. Glad I noticed that before attempting to use it, as it might have scratched up my camera sensor. Guess there's low to no QA going on?There was less metal dust on this one than my Konica AR adapter, but the fact that it was there is concerning.Compared to a competitor's "pro" line of adapters, this has lots of room for improvement.

This review is for the extendable M to E adapter.
First of all, I returned this the same day I received it in the mail. At first glance, it appears well made. Everything appeared to be solid and sharp. The adapter attached just fine to my Sony A7III, and the lens attached fine to the adapter. But once extended, the lens had a very noticeable wobble to it. I usually use one of those overpriced Voigtlander adapters, but like to try different ones. I guess it's hard to make good extendable adapters. Even the Voigtlander is by no means perfect, being prone to a very slight wobble over time as well. But the Urth one right out of the box was unacceptable for me, with the very pronounced wobbling.

High precision at a bargain price
Buyers of this adapter are often looking to use legacy lenses with aps-c or full-frame digital cameras, as I was--Minolta MD to Sony E-mount.There are many offerings out there, roughly divided in two categories: low precision low price and high precision high price, a couple of them made in Japan. This adapter breaks the mold because it offers high precision at a low price. It is very well made, all metal with smooth semi-matte finish, and a joy to handle. The inside is finely ribbed to prevent reflections, a nice touch. The fit on both lens and body sides is perfect, and locking comes with a gratifying click. Infinity focus is right on the money. This is essential and also a good indicator of Urth's tight manufacturing tolerances.Packaging is cute yet durable, and that buyers of Urth products help plant trees where they are needed is a bonus. I cannot think of a single reason why to spend more.

This adapter works perfectly
I have several Leica R lenses, from 19mm to 280mm which I have not used since switching to digital photography. I've wanted to get a full-size sensor camera, but the cost was more than I was willing to pay for something which I didn't really need. When I learned that the Sony a7 series would accept my lenses with an adapter, I ordered a Urth adapter and found it a perfect solution to my problem. The finish is excellent--both mating surfaced--to camera and lens, are smooth and polished. The overall finish is flawless. It fits into the camera body and the lenses fit into it perfectly, very solid, with no play or looseness at all. The camera, adapter, and lens form one solid unit. The focus of remote objects, with a lens focussed at infinity, is sharp, meaning the thickness of the adapter is right-on. Images are sharp from edge to edge, meaning proper parallelism between lens and sensor.Altogether, a very satisfactory purchase.

Absolutely incredible!
I was looking for a good alternative to a metabones adaptor and I found it! Urth provides wonderful customer service, incredible attention to detail, and not to mention a product that completely rivals metabones for a fraction of the price. It's also great to know that your purchase positively impacts the planet since Urth plants 5 trees with every purchase. I believe as consumers we need to support small businesses that are sustainable, kind and provide great quality products. I cannot highly recommend them enough!!

Ocassional connection issues, works otherwise. (Might be the camera's fault)
Camera: FS7Lens: Sigma art 24-70 2.8 Canon EFMost of the time it works really well. The FS7 is pretty old at this point, which leads me to believe this might be the fault of the firmware on the camera: Sometimes when I attach the converter, the camera tries to focus back and fourth and then disconnects, leaving me unable to change my iris of my lens. I've made a habit however of transporting the camera with the lens on it to avoid having this issue. Usually just reseating it a few times will fix the problem.Autofocus works.Electronic Iris control works.O.S. works.Would definitely recommend for the price.

Works flawlessly in photo mode, but none in video mode.
Just got the adapter today and purchased the new ef electronic adapter for Canon ef lenses for Sony emount. I tried two lenses (sigma 18-35 1.8 and canon 10-18 ) on my Sony A7C with this adapter and both work flawlessly in photo mode, but neither's auto focus will work in video mode. Is there a setting Im missing. Please advise. Still 5 stars based on quality build and performance in photomode. Please advise about autofocus in video mode. Thanks!

Excellent addition to the range giving closer focus distance
Typical Urth / Gobe high quality product. Extension ring is firm yet smooth and easy to adjust for accurate and quick focussing.Using this adapter also helps to increase the depth of focus and bokeh control which can contribute to better imaging and presentation as often DoF can be too razor thin.I don't what I'd do without it now!

Does the job well
This works well and delivers the results that I was expecting. It has given new lease of life to my old Pentax K mount lenses, fitting to my Sony A7iii

Great way to bring life to old lenses
I've got a few of my dad's old Minolta camera lenses in the original bag he used to carry around in the 80's. He's obviously not used the camera in decades and it's been wonderful to bring life back to these lenses. Paired with my new a6400 - these work wonderfully with the adapter and I'm really happy.

More than worth the price
Amazed at build quality, aperture control is smooth and easy to feel and connection feels secure and satisfying. Allows me to use my great grandads lense which holds immense sentimental value. Competitive price makes this a winner.
