Identify more than 300 lunar features in this Moon map specially designed for image-reversing optics such as refractor telescopes. Discover craters, maria (seas of molten lava), mountain ranges, as well as the six Apollo landing sites. Review: Nice, but would like natural view too - This is a nice moon map. It's laminated and folds in half vertically. The moon image occupies the entire right side and part of the left when you open it up. It's a nice size though I need my reading glasses to really see some of the labeling clearly. The label text is white (the maria/seas), light yellow (numbered craters), and orange (Apollo landing sites) and doesn't overwhelm the images. It's easy to look at the image and kind of not see most of the text while focusing on the lunar detail. It's simple and useful. It would be nice to also have at least a small non-mirrored image as a reference when not using my telescope but I have lots of moon pics I can use. NOTE: Since desertcart no longer allows for packaging feedback via our orders, I'll say that my moon map came in a flexible padded Prime envelope. The map may have been put in flat to start but the envelope was too big and at some point the map moved around and it ended up folded in half so that now I've got an unwanted deep crease over the whole thing. I opted to just keep it since it was a couple days late as it was and I want it for the weekend. They really ought to ship it in sturdier envelope though. Review: Must have map for observing the moon with a Reflector telescope - I would rate this as a 5 This lunar chart is quite complete and provides a sturdy resource that can be reliably used outside for lunar viewing. The chart has an index of various lunar objects, both by numeric assigned number for object and by alphabetic name of object and is arranged in a manner that is useful. This map is designed to be used with all Reflector type telescope. The map is oriented to the actual view through a Reflector telescope. dvmanning

Great useful Map

Pretty nice with enough detail for beginners
Well, it's okay...but, I can't help but feel it's a little cheap not to give both the reverse and natural view on different sides. And, some more of the special features other than just craters and mares would be nice.

Excellent Reference
I found this "map" to be very detailed and specific for Moon Gazing. It has the Apollo landing sites, although, the flag is not there anymore. This is probably the best "map" available for Moon Gazing. The price is right, and it's laminated so you can wipe it clean. I recommend it.

Nice Map
Nice and detailed images of the moon. Everything I expect. Good for using while at the scope so long as I remember to use red lighting.

Great that this available
Was looking for this everywhere...provides me key areas that are discussed in videos and books and key geographical locations for future travel.

A really helpful Map of the Moon.
Being laminated is great for keeping the moisture off, but a bit of a problem when trying to look at the map by the light of a red torch, glare reflects off the laminate and can make the map unreadable until your eyes become dark adapted again (up to 20 minutes).

A good field reference
This is a good guide to the moon and works when making a direct comparison when trying to identify major Lunar features directly. For me the problem is that I automatically flip the image mentally to "Normal" view or take photos and have to reverse the image again (or use Virtual Moon Atlas). If I ever replace it I will buy the actual view version.

Recommend purchasing both versions even if your telescope produces a mirror image. Found it easier to familiarise the lunar surface with both maps. information and detail is excellent. Being laminated is very useful.

Not the best moon map out there. On mine the lamination was of a low standard and it had a large air bubble in the middle. The map itself is ok. Just feels a bit cheap. Which is reflected in the price

Best Moon Map
Much easier to find your way around when it is the same view as your scope, I am very pleased with it, delivery was fast too.
