This is THE top of line ergonomic computer chair! Absolutely worth the price!
You get what you pay for. This Aeron computer chair is top of the line, ergonomically fantastic, and has a ten year warranty. Your mattress and computer chair are the two most important pieces of "furniture" that people typically spend most of their time in. If you need to save a bit longer to afford this chair, take the time to do so. This will be the last computer chair you'll ever need to buy. Highly recommended!

Don't do it. These are NOT a bargain.
I've had this used/"reconditioned" Herman Miller chair for around six months now.Quite honestly, it's junk. I've had a couple of "real"/new HM chairs, and this is nothing like them. This chair creaks like crazy when you sit in it or move even slightly. It's loose and rattly. The friction holds for both arms rests are shot, so the armrests don't stay where I adjust them, they slide all the way down within minutes.Within the first week of receiving the chair, I sat in it and the frame holding the mesh seat popped loose. I had to break out tools and spend an hour or so trying to put it back together. What really stings is that while less than a new HM chair, it was still a lot of money. I've about had enough of dealing with it already, so I have to haul it to the dump and STILL put out big money if I want a real HM chair. HM chairs are so well made, I figured even used they would still be solid pieces of furniture. NOT so in this case.I recommend you pass on these. I'm sure disgusted with the purchase.

Great Office Chair
I had an Aeron Chair at work, and then I brought it home during the Pandemic. After 17 years (early 2007-late 2023), the seat support broke, but it was actually still functional (and fairly comfortable). Since I was retiring at the end of 2023, I had to return this chair anyway. Knowing how much I loved the Aeron Chair, I pursued this option through Amazon, which is less than half as expensive as a new Aeron Chair purchased through Herman Miller. I knew that the chair was probably refurbished, but it looks and feels as good as a new chair. Keep in mind, that the new chair arrives in a box with some assembly and no written instructions. There are plenty of assembly videos on youtube.com that help guide you through the minimal assembly. If you love the Aeron Chair, I definitely recommend this approach.UPDATE AND WARNING: A few months after purchasing this chair (i.e., early 2024), the support bolt broke, similar to what happened with my original office chair. Only thing, is that didn't happen until 15 years after I first got it. The one I bought for myself lasted only a few months. I jury-rigged a fix, but it is not as comfortable as the original.

HM aeron chairs are the best I've ever had, but NOT THIS ONE
I've had HM aeron chairs for over ten years now, I sit in them for close to fifteen hours a day all year long (bc of my job, plus my personal time) they're the best chairs I've ever owned and I'm unlikely to ever use another. Except for this one.I've never had any problems with any of the other aerons I've owned before and I upgrade every few years and give the old ones to friends or family (who are still happily using them with no issues to my knowledge). This chair however, has barely lasted a year and a half and the gas cylinder has given up. I'll move it up to where I want it and within half an hour it's bottomed out again. Now this wouldn't be a huge deal normally, the cylinder in office chairs are replaceable with a little effort and a decently priced replacement part that's usually around $50-$60; a far better deal than buying an entire new chair for $700-$1000, right? Not in this case. There IS NO COMPATIBLE REPLACEMENT CYLINDER for this chair. It's a discontinued model from around 2016 and all the replacement cylinders on the market specify non-compatibility with chairs of this manufacturing date.I've looked all over for parts that could even be passably compatible and found nothing. Which really sucks because HM aerons are incredible chairs and the company doesn't skimp on quality. They're comfortable, help me prevent back and shoulder pain, they're durable as hell (my previous ones survived multiple moves across the country), they're low to no maintenance aside from the occasional dusting, I got the posture fit with this one but even normal ones usually fit the body nicely, they have good height adjustment ranges that will fit 80% of desks. But this one chair has been an annoying hassle of a disappointment, and now because I can't find a simple replacement part that SHOULD be very easy to find, I have to go drop another few hundred dollars on a new chair after only a year and a half. This 'renewed' stuff? I call bs. You're better off getting an actual new one with replacement parts available on the market with or without a protection plan, and enjoying it for at least 5-10 years before you even need to think about getting another. The oldest one I know of belonged to my father (a heavy individual), and he had it for eleven years before he gave it to my uncle and upgraded to a new model.
