Give these a shot!
I tried a number of products and this is what ultimately solved my sesamoiditis I had gotten in both feet. My podiatrist basically said it’s not going to go away unless you get custom insoles and over corrective shoes. So what did I do instead? I bought 10$ dancer pads and a pair of non supportive Altra shoes, my feet haven’t been this healthy in at least 6 months. I work in grocery and on my feet all day long on hard concrete so the sesamoid pain was affecting me every day to where I was limping and almost ready to give up hope. Being an avid hiker this was really tough for me. These pads provided instant relief to where I could get through my shift without limping! But the struggle wasn’t over yet. I obviously could still feel the pain. You have to be dedicated to these. I wore them 80% of the time(mostly at work) for about 3 months and I’m now not needing to wear these and have little to no pain. I HIGHLY recommend trying these out, for only 10$ it’s worth a shot. I’m still going to keep a pair in my backpack just in case as these helped me a ton. I’m now a huge barefoot style shoe advocate. Insoles and supportive shoes are not always the answer, actually quite rarely. Also I recommend trying to strengthen the calf muscles, they impact your feet a lot, if they are weak it puts a lot more strain on the tendons and muscles in your feet which includes the tendon that runs through your sesamoids. Only issue with the product is the adhesive wears out after about 3 weeks, if you wear socks it will usually keep them in place though. Clean them off each night with water. I used 3 pair in 3 months. I’m so thankful I found these!

What a relief!
I am a dancer and have sesamoiditis. My podiatrist made some contraption from foam and bandages for me to wear so that I would take pressure off of the sesamoids. While it was effective in doing so, it wasn't very practical because I couldn't wear it inside my dance shoes. Additionally, it got dirty and sweaty (eew). I ordered various products (Sesamoid Relief Sleeve, Dr. Jill's and Pedi-Gel). The Relief Sleeve was too thin and didn't fit right. Dr. Jill's is a little too thick and the gel pad is smooth (no traction). The pedi-gel goes on perfectly and has traction. Because I wear closed toe and open toe shoes when I dance/compete, I was hesitant about using them. I can honestly say that they fit well and stay on your foot ( I practice in them about 2 hours a day and my foot gets very sweaty). When I'm done, I wash them with warm soapy water and lay them out to dry and their ready for use. In a follow up appointment to my podiatrist, I showed them to him and he gave them his seal of approval - so I'm a happy dancer!!! 1/18/2014 - UPDATE: I still have my dancer pads. I have a few pair and they are still going strong. Eventually they do get kind of dirty, but they are still useful. Here is one suggestion for keeping them "sticky". Keep the plastic container that they come in. After you use your pads, wash them with soap and water & rinse. Shake off the excessive water (do not pat dry) and place them on the plastic container. The next time that you use them you will see that they are pretty stuck to the hard plastic. Just pull them off and place them on your feet. Another tip is to make sure your feet aren't sweaty, dirty or have any creams on them. I usually wipe my feet down with some antibacterial gel and then place the pads on when it dries. If you are a dancer, it might take a few times before you figure out the right spot to place the pads for greater comfort, but eventually you will and you'll be a happy dancer! 6/16/2014 - UPDATE: Came back to buy some extra Dancer's Pad only to find that the price went from $9.95 + Free Shipping to $19.95 + $5.95 shipping. Not sure what's going on here and why there aren't any other sellers of this on Amazon, but this is still available on other sites for $9.95 + free shipping. Hope the price comes down on Amazon. Until then, I'll have to buy them elsewhere.

no pain but could be stickier
These help a lot!! I've had terrible foot pain for the past couple years due to wearing heels for years and growing up in ballet. These are incredibly economical as similar products can only be used once or be placed in one pair of shoes where as these are reusable. I prefer to stick them to skin as I tend to change shoes a lot throughout the day. They could use to be a little stickier but they are completely reusable and do not lose much stickiness over time. They do not make shoes feel tighter but it does help redistribute the weight on the ball of the foot. I got instant and long lasting relief although they were a little weird to get used to at first. I have not yet used them in heels but I am very excited to.

These pads worked wonders for my ball of foot pain!
These pads saved my sanity, my wallet, and my foot! For a fraction of the cost of a copay to see a doctor to look at my foot and tell me why it was hurting from behind and inset from my big toe. I do HIIT training in the morning, and prior to my foot pain I did work out bare foot- obviously I have learned my lesson! While suffering on day 3- who could imagine that a nerve pain in the ball of your foot could be so horrible?- I decided to fork out the money and upgrade shipping to Next Day- and even then these pads and shipping were less than a copay for me to get nowhere. The first day of wearing the insert was some relief- I had a 'buffer' that kept the intense pain at bay, so I could hobble around better. It took about 2 weeks of wearing the dancer's insert at all times of being on my feet, but I actually went running today (with my pad on of course!) and there was no pain! I will continue to wear this little pad to ensure I don't hurt myself too soon, but what a miracle! It does take some thinking about placement, but trial and error will get it where you will feel it 'supporting' all of those little bones and tendons. The re-usableness is very impressive. I am still using the first pad, and when I remove it, I just rinse it with warm water, pat dry, and then let air dry overnight. I have noticed that now I do have to hold it in place to let my body temperature warm it to stick, but once it's on I'm ready to go!

Sigo tomando vitamina B12.

If put on properly this pad provides relief to the Sesamoid Joint which I had hurt and nothing seemed to help. Stayed off it for a month and didn't even dent the pain. Specialty clinics couldn't help. Tried Taping with KT Tape did help a little. But these pads have been a major help for a small cost. They stick well and are easy to clean. I have used for work all day then Slo Pitch right after work and they didn't move at all.

Has really helped to alleviate the pain. I do wish you could get 2 of the same foot in one package and have the option of either right or left. Not sure how common it is to get sesamoiditis in both feet at the same time is...as well as the adhesive part isnt that sticky so I wear a sock as well to keep it sticking better. I hope that this pain doesnt last much longer...it is one of those extremely difficult ones to get rid of unfortunately.
