Would this be easily breakable by an adult male? Some guy is stealing kids bikes from garages, and I was looking to drop a net on him.

I am not sure. I hit thousands of golf balls into these nets before they give. That means they withstand repeated hits of golf ball going about 140mph before the net breaks down. Hope this helps.

Does it work well for lacrosse?

Yep i bought one for the back drop to our lacrosse net and because of the smaller holes and it seems to work just fine

What is the border of this golf net? Are there any grommets?

Mine has a rope border. It works very well. My friends and I have been beating this thing with golf balls for 3 years now and no real signs of wear. I do not like grommets since they almost always fail.

The nets are UV treated. The raw material has UV inhibitors so the UV treatment is throughout the entire net and not just the outer coating. The nets are also dipped for weather protection which is what some of you have had come off on balls.
