Best helmet mount for the Contour
If you can get past how slow Contour is with innovation and resupplying their warehouse, then keep your Contour and buy this mount if you are looking for an excellent perspective with an ARC Rail enabled helmet. This mount is extremely sturdy and did not worry about my Contour falling off even while running, and jumping at the fastest of speeds. I had the small lanyard attached to my helmet and Contour, but I would think twice about it if I wanted to take it out and only use this mount as the only measure of security. I recommend placing the Contour upside down to get the closest eye-level perspective possible. The only fault I have with this adapter is that I wish it was 5 cm slimmer to be closer to my eye, but it is superb nonetheless.

Holds camera well
I have a PJ helmet, and had a difficult time putting on and moving the mount into place. There is basically notches on the helmet and the mount slides into the notches. But it's very tight and a bit difficult to get into the place you want. Once in place it is there and doesn't move, which is good. The other thing is the notches in the mount to tilt it up and down are way to far apart. It's basically u can point the camera forward, to the sky, or to the ground. There is no small movement like u want the camera to just point down slightly. When the camera is mounted it has a little bit of wiggle but i just make sure to pull the camera down a little bit then it doesn't wiggle. This is a good mount tho and it works well, IMO it's a little too expensive for what it is, but it does work well, I have never had a problem with it.

Don't jump with it.
It doesn't lock in very well to the Ops-core helmet. It's just plastic that holds it into the side rails of the helmet. Even when set in the position you want it in on the helmet it can easily be moved front or back along the rails. The plastic can be bent to easy during application onto helmet. We used it on the helmet during a skydiving exercise and after the second jump the mount the camera and all were gone. Being that the Ops-core is the helmet we are using this is the only choice for adapter for the Contour camera that we could find so we had no choice but to get this one. We had to repurchase it all again and this time we added zip ties and tape in order to make sure it stays on the helmet when we're jumping. The portion connecting into the helmet should be made out of metal so that it locks in more securely to the helmet rails.

Great Mount
This mount has fit perfectly on my Crye Precision Airframe helmet. The rails meet the same size as standard Ops Core Arc Rails. The only issue I have encountered is the difficulty I have sliding it into the position. The arms also feel like they could snap under too much pressure, but that is not a problem considering that you do not over exert pressure onto them. Other than those two things, it looks great and frees up my night vision mount, unlike GoPro cameras. I would reccomend for anyone who runs Arc Rails on their helmets.

Breaks too easily...
Decent enough mount for walking, but as soon as you start running, or any activities with a lot of movement the slides can slip. Also the outlying clips that holds the camera isn't very sturdy, and because it protrudes out from the profile of the helmet, mine got caught and the front half snapped off. Now my camera slides forward and I have to adjust it constantly. My camera have came off the mount several times during rigorous activity without the forward clip. Luckily I had the lanyard attached to the camera and helmet.

Review
The mount adapter works well, however it doesnt lock into the rail very securely. When pulling the camera off, the whole mount usually comes off with it. The mount does hold the camera tight and has two locking ends that keeps the camera from coming off of the mount. Overall, it does it's job well.

Good helmet mount option for your Contour
This mount is the reason why I purchased the Roam Contour 3 camera. It allows me to mount it to my High Cut Ballistic helmet with ARC rail. It fit great and mounted right up. In normal use it would take a lot to dislodge it. It is the only game in town as far as Fast Helmet mounting the Contour line of cameras. This setup is in use by many soldiers in the field. It works well.

Necessary accessory, unless you have a lot of other rail-mounted gear
I really like this camera mount - it's simple and effective. But, it does preclude using rail-mount adapters for ear protection, so I may end up with Velcro instead for the camera. If you don't need the rail space for something else, this works.
