Update: I have fired over 100 rds on two trips to the range. The mount is solid on my rail and holds my Ncstar with no wiggle, whether up or flipped to the side. I am extremely pleased. For $29.98 including one day shipping, this flip to side mount can't be beat. I'm using it with an Ncstar 3X magnifier and a Lucid HD7 genIII mounted on a Sig M400. The unit feels solid and locks positively in both positions. It has a high center point that lines up well with the very tall Lucid (see my pics). The only negative is the finish. It's somewhat glossy and easily nicked up. As long as you aren't entered in a beauty contest, it's fine. I'm headed to the range tomorrow and will update how it handles live fire.

I'm running the SLX MD-25 at 1/3 COWIT, bought a Primary Arms 3x magnifier and was not interested in paying for their mount for various reasons. Looked around and around and came back to this one. I installed it, and just needed some alignment via the dials and it was setup up. I have no experience with magnifiers or their mounts so I have no reference to compare this to anything. So far the main thing I noted is that the two screws that attach the arm (that actually holds the optic) to the mount (the bottom part that attaches to pic rail)came loose or where shipped loose. Those screws need loctite, otherwise the arm part will wobble a lot and probably fall off at some point. The mount has a little play in it, but I don't find it excessive and seems like that is inevitable. The arm is easily manipulated from either position (in use/not in use), when the magnifier is moved back into place for use, it retains zero. With my setup up using the forward sweep mount on my md25, all the way to the front of my pic rail on my upper (not extending over the barrel) I have a little bit of room to chose how close to the optic I want to mount the magnifier, not a lot but more that just one space. I'd recommend for someone looking to buy a budget 1/3 COWIT mount.

Didn't want to spend $180 for the Sub-2000 rotating scope mount..... bought this one for a red dot, and the rifle folds up enough and stops mm's from locking completely. Good enough!!!! There is a slight wiggle, if you swing the rifle around, but I have no issues whatsoever with it being on point when I need it to be. If you are a competition shooter you won't be happy with this.... if you are a prepper guy like me, and want a red dot on your Sub2000 so you can put it in a backpack.... this is for you.

The product shipped does not match what is shown in the picture. the picture shows 6 screws to mount the optic. The product shipped only has 4 screws. The product that they shipped also has a slightly different 90 degree flip mechanism which doesn't work as well as the one shown in the picture. It does not flip easily. I have the one that is shown in the picture and that one works very well. I liked it so much I ordered a second one and I got the bad one. I had to send it back because it was also defective. The magnifier that I mounted on this product wouldn't line up because the hinge was slightly off so I could never center the holigraphic image on the center of the optice. I liked the one shown in the picture so I bought a second one from sportswarehouse. It shows the same sku name but it is not the same product. Be careful. They did offer to return and refund but they shouldn't show one product and ship another. If you get one with 4 screws to mount the optic instead of 6 just return it. It is garbage.

Build quality appears solid. Mount is a bit stiff to flip but that will break in. Lick up appears good.

Used this with a 3x magnifier and I'm glad I chose this product. After doing some research, I found that a lot of the other flip-up mounts were either too hard or too easy to flip, cheaply made or you had to push it out first to flip it up. This one however, feels perfect. It attaches to the gun rail securely, the amount of force to flip is is very reasonable, enough so you don't accidentally flip it up or down by accident, yet firm enough to where there is little to no movement when it is in the up position. Great product and would highly advise you to buy this if you're looking for a high quality flip-up mount but don't want to spend a fortune. Highly recommended and would buy again in a heartbeat!

After looking at several flip to side mounts for a magnifier, I decided to try this one. I had purchased a different brand and retured it because it had a lot oplay in the locked position. When I received this one, I was impressed by how well made it was and it sat flush on the picatinny rail and it was tight in both locked positions. there was just one problem, the magnifier clamp did not line up with the mounting bracket. I was only able to see about half of the Red Dot scope. I will be returning the Flip to side mount. Very disappointed.

I bought these to replace my Primary Arms mount but I ended up keeping my PA mount because of how flimsy this mount feels. For the price, it's okay. But I wouldn't recommend putting this on a firearm. It should work great for airsoft tho

This Product was a joke. Not a good shooting product. Be sure you order 2 because they feel that 1 is suitable. You would figure 1 would be a set.
