NutrafinAqua Plus Water Conditioner, 16.9-Ounce

This water conditioner works wonders. I go through this stuff quite often with the fact that I have a 90gal tank plus an, albeit small for its use, 10gal baby tank with angels, so it's nice to have this in larger sizes. I prefer this over the Prime from Seachem for the fact that it doesn't stress out your fish, nor does it turn the chlorine in the water straight into ammonia (although that's preferred for start-up to increase bacterial growth, it's not when you have fish and plants sensitive to high concentrations of ammonia.) Also, this stuff promotes your fish's natural slime-coat so if you're moving them from tanks, or if you just have it 'quarantined', this will help keep them healthy from all that stress.

I use Aqua Plus every time I do water changes in my aquarium. I have used this product for many, many years with 100% success. It not only takes out chlorine and chloramine in tap water, it neutralizes toxic heavy metals like lead and copper, and protects fish scales and fins. It also contains a patented stress-reducing formula that includes Valerian Root. Other water conditions may claim to be as good, but it's been so successful for me over the years, I won't use anything else. When the fish store I frequent stopped selling it because "it costs more than other brands" I searched for it at other fish stores. Although I did find it, Amazon's price was amazingly lower.

Takes care of chloramines but ammonia is very high. The chloramines in my area are very high so I need extra.

the size and convenient measuring cap make this a worthwhile buy. Nutrafin is a great brand. Hopefully this product will work well. I am using it in conjunction with their Cycle product while I setup a new tank. I let the tank run a day without anything, second day both chemicals and the third and fourth day tapering off the Cycle dosage. When the weekend comes the water should be good to go for stocking

I use this to de-chlorinate the water in my 36 gallon aquarium during water changes. I have been using it for about five years and have never had an issue. I generally do bigger water changes (50% of water) less frequently (every 6-8 weeks) and the bottle seems to last more than a couple of years. I would recommend it.

I've used this product in my aquarium for years, and all I can say is buy it in bulk and get it online, because you're going to need a steady supply of it for as long as you have fish. This is the best water conditioner on the market for my money.

This product was ok but I prefer another product better than this.

I really love the size of the container for the price. It is much cheaper than my LFS. I absolutely love the cap because it has measurements in it and I think that every liquid product should come with a measuring cup on the cap as well. It is a must now!

2nd time purchasing this. I use this in my freshwater 5 gallon tank for my betta fish and it is an amazing brand! Just a week ago my betta got his fin caught in the filter and it ripped and litter and even though this works as removing the chloramines etc. from tap water it also conditioned the fins and the fins are already growing back which is amazing!
