GREAT BOOK!
I am a volunteer reading tutor. My student (Billy) is very interested in sports and his goal is to be able to read the sports page of the newspaper. I use a Kindle reader because my student has impaired vision and being able to enlarge the print assists him. This book is well written and goes well beyond basketball as written in the sports pages. It goes into the lives and motivations of the players featured. Billy is fascinated by it and that encourages me to try harder to help him. It also appropriately discusses the uphill climb basketball players endured--including black players. Well done.
