Looking for a main lug 60amp box to power my shed. Using 20 amp outlets and feeding the panel with 8/3 wire. Would this panel be appropriate?

I used mine in a out shed for 6 led “fluorescent”lights and 10 electrical outlets with a 60 amp feed using 6/3 individual strand through conduit and it worked just fine. I even have room in the box to hook up a 220 if I ever get that welder I want.

Can I put a 50 amp 2 pole breaker in this box?

Yes, you can put 2- double breakers in this box

Nice Breaker Box

Breaker box bought for running power to an outbuilding. Worked very well with the ground bar that was suggested I bought the package deal including the ground bar. The cover screws were super tight getting in so I did run a tap through the cover screw holes to make them easier to install the cover. I am very satisfied. BTW the ground bar suggested had four different mounting points that all lined up with the mounting screws. Some reviews said that they could only install one screw. I certainly did not have a problem they may have not even tried the right holes. Note I bought the suggested ground bar. Not all ground bars are the same.
