The media could not be loaded. Great battery operated fire alarm. Really like the small size - smaller than most major manufacturers. Easy to install. Affordable, functional, the perfect unit for our household.

Seems like a quality unit
The product was easy to mount as it replaced the last unit I had just fine. And pressing the test button I found out that it's plenty loud enough if it should ever go off. I think I would rather have had a unit where I change the batteries yearly that way I know everything's fresh. I just don't know if a 10 year battery is something I can put my faith in but I did it anyway. Happy with my purchase.

Will last 9 years and 9 months... hopefully
Hopefully it lasts 10 years! And after that you will have to throw them away anyway. Fire alarms get upset after 10 years and they force you to toss them.It comes with some kind of a certificate, and it was only couple months old so it should last 9 years and 9 months...Or full 10 years, because once you mount this unit to the bracket, a button on the back is pushed in and "activates" for reals, even though the battery had already been connected sitting in amazon warehouse.

10 Year Battery Smoke Detector!
This Smoke Detector is very durable and detects smoke when there is an issue. I have burned bread several times in my toaster oven and each time that there is a hint of smoke, this detector will start sounding the alarm and is very loud so that you know that there is an issue. I love the fact that it has a 10 Year Battery and after that you buy another one. Changing batteries every 6 months and trying to remember to change the batteries every 6 months was a hassle and it seemed to alert me to the fact that the batteries need changing in the middle of the night while in a nice deep sleep…. That is a thing of the past now with this 10 Year Battery Smoke Detector. I live in a 900 square foot garden apartment and I have it positioned in the very middle. I do pray that I will never hear the alarm going off as I know there will be a legitimate problem. This is a must buy!

Great so far
My brother is a fire chief in another state, he's always reminding me to keep up with my smoke detectors. Our really old ones took batteries and had started beeping and so we took them down. Really bad choice. I just ordered two of these and with the 10-year battery we should do better. So far no false alarms. Super easy to install. Thanks brother for the reminder
