Amazing!
This is my first Klipsch set of speakers and I am very pleased with the quality. It is capable of handling very loud volumes with no distortion and just, well its a very solid set of speakers. The satellite speakers are alot LARGER than anticipated; looks alot smaller in the pictures... but hey, I'm not complaining! The only minor setback is that when my handphone rings, it seems to trigger a little disturbance to the speakers, making it ring a little tune of its own. It's just a little annoying but apart from that, I'm incredibly satisfied!

Unmatched bass quality
just bought the system and i am more than happy. it gives ultra clear bass and amazing sound quality. they wont make the floor shake but will definately give you an elecctrifying sensation. only negative point probably would be the size but the funky speakers make you overlook that. completely worth it.

Excellent - except for the subwoofer hum.
Mids and his are clear and sharp, basses are a bit blunt and 'rumbly', but in overall these speakers sound great when properly tuned, especially while played lauder. Would give them 5, if only for the annoying hum from the woofer that I couldn't get rid of, as much as I tried. It is mostly hidden by the sound of the PC fans, but I have to unplug speakers when I want silence (like, to sleep). If I knew of this problem before, I would have most definitely bought some other ones.

Not New: Box opened- Sub Scratched
I received the item. Unfortunately, the box is opened and resealed. The subwoofer has two scratches on the bottom and looks like someone tried to rub them out resulting in a bigger mess. On the top, it's the same. One scratch only. The standoff female bolt came out with the right speaker cable screw. That's my second order, as the first one did not work. I feel very disappointed.

Coulda been a contender
This is a decent 2.1 speaker set. The bass is possibly a bit rumbly as another review said but it is minor and you can adjust the bass on the excellent control unit, where you can also plug in your PC, an MP3 player/etc (I use it for my Xbox's audio) and headphones, all at once. My biggest complaint is that at very low volumes, such as when listening late at night without headphones, only the left speaker channel works and I don't get stereo sound. This occurs in about the bottom 20% of volumes which few people will actually use but as I use them in a small room above my parents' bedroom, I need low volume at 2am! If you don't care about very low volumes (or you use headphones as I should), these will supply you with excellent stereo sound in movies, games and when listening to music. The bass isn't perfect but well in line with the price and only the low volume channel problem is something I think is a real issue.

False representation - not to UK code - dangerous to use in UK.
This product should not have been sold on Amazon.co.uk without it being clear that it is 120v device. I am unable to use it without a large, energy-burning transformer which is as heavy as the sub-woofer. I have had a heck of a job trying to return this back to the USA.

Wrong voltage
It is made for the American market which runs on 120Vac @ 60Hz whereas we in the UK use 240Vac @ 50Hz so were I to plug it in there would have been a bang. Lesson: Don't sell equipment with the wrong voltage to the UK market.

After many years of beautiful sound, my Bose Companion 5 system gave up the ghost. It was a very sad moment. I loved those speakers. The sound was exquisite. Unfortunately, the Companion 5 system is no longer available new, only used. So, I set out on a lengthy search to find something I felt I would appreciate as much as the Bose system. I read and watched tons of reviews for various speaker systems. I stuck to established brands that I've known for years. I've never had Klipsch speakers before, but I've heard various sets of them since the 1980s and have always been impressed by them. I don't want to write a long-winded review, so I'll just say that while I don't feel like they present the same expansive soundstage that my Bose Companion 5 system did, they are EXCELLENT. And they cost considerably less than the Bose Companion 5 did. They produce a very pleasant and dynamic sound, whether I'm gaming, watching a movie, or just listening to music. For music, they're well balanced, in my opinion. They sound good with Classical, Jazz, Rock, whatever. That's not always easy to find in a speaker system. I've been enjoying them for nearly a year. As others have noted, they are very loud. When I first set them up, there was terrible distortion. Turns out, the output from my computer was just too high. I turned down the Windows volume level to 20% and that completely resolved that issue. I just control the volume from the knob built into the right speaker. Speaking of controls on the right speaker, I REALLY appreciate the subwoofer volume control being on the right speaker instead of on the subwoofer itself (as it was on my Bose system). It's nice to be able to adjust the bass without having to crawl under my desk. To be honest, if I could have bought a new set of Bose Companion 5 speakers, I would have. And I never would have discovered these Klipsch speakers. Do I think they're as good as my Bose? No. But I do think they're excellent speakers at a very good price. I'm pleased and would make the same purchase again. I should note that the very good price to which I’m referring was $117.50 almost a year ago.
