Healthy Shelf Stable Oat Milk Option without preservatives
This oat milk is minimal processed, organic whole grain oat groats and water with a little vanilla and salt tossed in for flavor. It has a creamy texture despite not having any oil and other thickeners like many brands. I also like that they use the entire oat adding fiber, protein along with other nutrients. Double check the other brands that add sugar and only use oat starch then discard the oats themselves. If you want to know more about their process listen to Clean Kitchen podcast with Christina Dorr Drake the CEO of Willa.Willa’s is great in my tea, coffee and smoothies! If you want a latte texture, get the barista version. It does have a little organic cold pressed high oleic sunflower oil, which is a better option if you can tolerate it.

Great customer service! Curdled (Update)
The media could not be loaded. 2nd Update 2/27/2024 - I have received a new case of the unsweetened original oat milk & I am very satisfied with the flavor & texture! I like the simple & clean ingredients without all the yucky gums & emulsifiers & added sugars. I will be trying the Barista & Dark Chocolate as well. I truly appreciate how this company handled my initial complaint even though the actual reason for the issue was due to no fault of their own. Willa’s Kitchen definitely went above & beyond to rectify the issue.UPDATE 2/26/24 - The company contacted me & have been really great with finding out what happened to the oat milk case that caused the curdling & are sending me a new case with a full refund! I was surprised when they reached out because of course some companies get so big that one person becomes insignificant but they stand by their product & I can see that they want their customers satisfied. They have great customer service because of it! I will update again once I receive the new case.Original review 2/18/24- Every carton of the oat milk is curdled with thick small chunks that don’t mix even with shaking.

FIXED— shipping issue. Awful gritty texture
EDIT— the company reached out after my first reviews because they’ve had issues with how the product froze and defrosted in Amazon trucks. They sent me another package and the texture was fixed! Very rich and flavor is good. Appreciate a little extra protein than other oat milks as well.Disgusting. Awful texture — gritty and as if it had never been filtered. Tasted like watered down cardboard. Very disappointing because I loved the ingredient list.

Tastes Like Play-Doh
Given the overwhelming positivity of the reviews I read, I really wanted to like this product. However, the moment I tried this oat milk I immediately regretted everything because it tastes like Play-Doh. I’m not sure if it’s because I have unique taste buds, or the fact that I refrigerated it before ever opening it. Either way oat milk should never taste like this and I am very disappointed in this product. If you want an oat milk with even fewer ingredients, I would recommend Elmhurst 1925 milked oats. It is slightly more expensive (which is why I tried this one in the first place), and has only 3 ingredients. However, I have never tasted a creamier, cleaner oat milk in my entire life and will never be drinking anything else but Elmhurst from now on.

My review
For being unsweetened it tastes pretty good.

Yes, Simple Ingredients..Yes, the healthiest version, No rapeseed oils etc. BUT it tastes aweful?!?
My wife and I where delighted with the Oatly Barrista brand, then came across a tiktok that it had rapeseed oils, so we searched for a brand that was healthier we purchased 6 Willa's and the first thing we noticed is the color is darker than the creamy brown we are used too, but its healthier so that is ok so we pondered, took a sip with our favorite coffee and it was pungent and bitter? how is this possible this is the same Coffee we have been drinking before out of a 5lbs bag (The Guenther House Founders Blend) Exquisite with an bouquet of Rich Chocolate, did this Brand just ruin a Coffee that we drive 60 miles to get? tasted the Willa's on its own and has a watered down tap water residue taste the oats are their but an aftertaste not a soft creamy thicker oatmilk we are used too. I would rather die a few years early and enjoy my velvety creamy coffee than to live longer in misery.

Good Ingredients but
This is the only oat milk so far I have found that doesn’t use sunflower oil or any inflammatory oils. Overall it’s ok but the taste it overpowering and not in a good way. And it’s not as creamy
