I have a Red Sea Max Nano G2 and the glass is just short of 1/2" thick. I have a collection of glass cleaners now and will say that the Flipper Nano is not man enough for this tank. I’m not saying it’s not a great scraper but it was my mistake. So I went another two and both were real hard work and by the time I had finished my wrist let me know it. Much too heavy but again, my fault. This one hit's the spot in between and is perfect for this thickness of glass, now very happy.

You get what you pay for with a flipper, excellent quality. Don't bother wasting your money on the cheaper versions that will all pale in comparison, buy cheap buy twice!

As per the title it is an excellent cleaner. When new this thing got all the stubborn algae off the glass with ease. Months on the attachable metal scrapper seems to not be as sharp (Lucky these are a replacement item). Disappointed that even thought I haven't used the metal scrapper that much that it is not effective already. Highly recommend but be aware the blades do not last very long.

This algae scraper effortlessly removed the stubborn spot algae I was having trouble with for a while, I chose the standard size for my 100g tank, which is a great size and has a strong magnetic grip. Highly recommended. I’m not so sure why this has negative reviews, maybe they have purchased a too smaller size for their glass thickness to save money as they are not cheap compared to other makes but it’s false economy in my opinion as I have purchased others which have found their way to the bin.

I have held off buying what I consider a lot of money for a magnet at £40. I needed the standard version for my thickness of glass. I think some of the 1 star reviewers must not have read the requirements for magnet to glass thickness. Anyway this is an excellent glass cleaner and I should have bought this years ago instead of the weak magnetic brushes I also own at around £10 each if that. I see replacement blades are around £9 each but cant see them needing replacement in a long time. My tank is clear and was encrusted with stubborn old algae for years that was a scrubbing match to even dent. This device cleared that in about an hour. If it does not catch the algae going left to right try up and down as this worked for me. Very Happy and glad its good as was feeling a bit off spending £40 - not now :) O and look up the you tube video about changing from blade to brush.

This is great for my turtle tank and it does help clean it. Highly recommend.

Great to clean the marine tank glass

It was ok for a very tank requiring very light daily cleaning, I used it on a reefer 170, which had been neglected for a while admittedly. In the end I had to hold the wet side in my hand and use it as a scraper and that worked ok. No better or worse than any scraper a third of the price and magnet pretty rubbish.

I’ve had aquariums for more than 20 years. I’ve been using those long handled aquarium scrub brushes for years. I really didn’t enjoy cleaning my aquarium glass. The scrub brush didn’t do that great of a job and it dripped water everywhere. Plus it was a pain to store. Then I was watching a fish keeping video on YouTube and saw the Flipper. It looked so much more effective and easier to use/store than what I had been using. I bought one for my 36 gallon bow front aquarium. It seemed a little pricey for a glass scrubber but after using it for awhile, it’s worth every penny! I initially had a difficult time figuring out what the written directions meant but that might just be me. I was able to find a YouTube video that explained what was meant by rotating the handheld part to get the scrubber part inside my aquarium to flip. After that it was super easy to use. I store mine inside my tank which is convenient. The razor side does an excellent job at removing those little specks of algae that stubbornly stick to the glass the scrubber part removed biofilm easily. The magnet is strong and I’ve never had the part inside my tank float away. My glass has never been so clean! I liked it so much that I put a smaller version for my 10 gallon tank on my Wishlist and got it for Christmas. I really wished I had learned about the Flipper sooner. It’s a much better way to clean the glass than what I had been using.

It's no toy very serious product , very very powerful magnets excellent tool

The flipper is fantastic, I wish I one of these sooner! I get a lot of algae etc because my tank is in a very well-lit position. This tool is great for keeping on top of it.
