If I’m 2X and 5’6, what size do I get?

They run small. I normally wear a 2x I got a 3x just in case. That other person said she weighs 220 and wears a 2x. That is a clue - many people at that weight wear a 16-18.

Is the material used on these shorts light weight?

Not real lightweight. Average weight.

If I am a 3x should I order 5x? I just read someone said they are small.

I'm 5' 9" and 260lbs. I normally wear a 3x or 4x. The 3x fit the best. They are very comfortable, well made, and flattering. The two pockets are deep and don't sticking or bunch up.

does black bled when washed

Mine hasn’t. It’s been through the wash several times now.
