Playmobil Pirate Treasure Island Playset

This Treasure Island playset is full of creative adventures. It has a treasure chest, a falling rock trap and a trap door into a dungeon. The pirates have a variety of weapons, including swords, pistols, a halberd and a cannon that shoots rubber tipped projectiles. Our four-year-old grandson loves to pretend the pirates are all bad guys that want the treasure all for themselves. The pirates can move from island to island by crossing the rock bridge or rowing their way in the boat. This set complements another we have, PLAYMOBIL Pirate Raiders' Ship Playset , but it’s certainly a fun toy all by itself. An adult is necessary for the assembly which can be a bit challenging at times. Frequently three or four bags needed to be opened just to find and assemble a single component. There are two door hinge connectors that require a lot of force to install in the wooden portion of the structure. Another step shows an orange piece that is used to guide and force four white connectors into the rock bridge but does not include words explaining that the orange piece isn’t needed after the structures are all assembled and connected. Once the playset is built, though, the real fun begins. This one is sturdy, and like all Playmobil toys, will provide years of fun. The photos highlight some of this toy's best features, like lock-up cells, cannon, the falling rock trap and another trap door that sends bad pirates into a hidden cave dungeon.

Bought this for sons 8th birthday. I was skeptical because it seems like a toy for younger kids but he reeeeeeally wanted a "pirate island" of some kind to play with and this was the best thing I could find. No regrets. Its actually pretty cool. And he loves it. Theres a lot more going on with this toy than meets the eye.

Ever since I was a kiddo, I’ve had Playmobil. Now my son is into them. This set is awesome. The price when I bought it was $79 or so. The next month it was down to $40-ish. So watch for sales and discounts. At $80 it was still worth it. Lots of adventures with playmobil.

Addition to 4 year olds Playmobil pirate collection- Playmobil develops imaginative play- you can swap hats and accessories between figurines and have sea battles with firing cannons. This model has secret hiding places for treasure etc. Playmobil is very durable- no issues with any part of it. highly recommend it

My six year old loves this set. It's easy to put together and comes with a lot of pieces. Very detailed we usually have Legos but we have a new found appreciation for playmobil would def recommend to friends. Lots of hours of play with this set. Also ordered a pirate ship to add to the set and some of the super 4 sets can't wait for them to arrive.

This set is amazing! My son got the pirate ship for Christmas and he loved it so much we turned his train set into a pirate village and added these islands, castle fort and pirate hideout! He loves it and plays with it constantly. Great quality and totally fun even for us!

Love the span of this set and the many features it has for play and imagination. Filled it in by adding a few little pirate sets. A little pirate lovers friend for hours and hours of imagitive play.

Unser Sohn hat viel Spaß mit diesem Playmobil-Set. Die beiden Inselteile links und rechts, sowie die "Stein"-Brücke mit der darunter liegenden Durchfahrt für das Ruderboot bilden zusammen 3 Spiel-Orte die jeder für sich oder zusammen immer für tolle Spiel-Geschichten sorgen. Der linke Inselteil (s.Produkt-Bild) beinhaltet ein "Gefängnis" mit von außen abschließbarer Tür (durch Mechanik, nicht durch Schlüssel) im "Bambus-Design". Hier können Gefangene oder auch Schätze untergebracht werden. Der Fels ist hinten geschlossen, so dass man im "Gefängnis" selbst nur schwer spielen kann. Oben auf dem Felsen befindet sich eine Falltür (aus Fels), deren Fallweg führt direkt ins Gefängnis darunter. Der rechte Inselteil (s.Produkt-Bild) beinhaltet das Heck eines Schiffes mit abschließbarer Holztür (Mechanik) und oben aufgesetzter Kanone mit Schießmechanismus für 2 beiliegende Kugel-Pfeile aus Kunststoff. An diesem Teil ist besonders hervorzuheben, dass es eine kleine Öffnung zur Durchfahrt (mittlerer Teil, s. Produkt-Bild) gibt, die durch zwei Wasserfallteile umgeben ist; Dieser Felsteil kann leicht abgenommen werden, so dass man in der Höhle selbst besser spielen kann. Der Eingang befindet sich also im Schiffsteil und führt dann weiter bis zum Durchgang. Der mittlere Felsteil mit der Brücke, bzw. der Durchfahrt, enthält einen Felsbrocken, den man durch eine Öffnung in der Mitte der Brücke auf Durchfahrende fallen lassen kann; der Felsbrocken wird oben durch einen verschiebbaren Felsen gehalten, bzw. losgelassen. Im unteren Bereich hängt ein Piraten-Totenkopf mit Hemd und altem Säbel. Hinter diesem Piraten-Totenkopf befindet sich der Knopf für den Mechanismus der Falltür im linken Inselteil. Hier fanden wir, dass die Bauanleitung auf den ersten Blick nicht eindeutig darstellt wie der Mechanismus beim Zusammenbauen installiert werden soll. Ansonsten fanden wir die mitgelieferte Schatzkiste mit dem darinliegenden Goldschatz schön gestaltet. Die Palmen sind besser als früher, da die Palmblätter aus flexiblerem Kunststoff gestaltet sind und daher weniger empfindlich gegen intensives Bespielen. Die Piraten entsprechen denen aus den Playmobil-Filmchen, die es im Internet und auch kostenlos auf DVD gibt (verteilt über Kinderzeitschriften, etc.). Weiterhin dabei ist ein Möwe, die zu Spielideen anregen kann. Das enthaltene Lagerfeuer ist nett, allerdings ist die Flamme zu 2-dimensional für unseren Geschmack; die Flammen kennt man auch aus dem Playmobil-Adventskalender 2015. Fazit: Viel Spielwert zu fairem Preis (verglichen mit z.B. Lego wo man für ein vglb. Paket wohl 60+ Euro zahlen würde).
