MyLifeUNIT Hand Grip Handle Stand for Nintendo New 3DS XL LL

My favorite part about this thing is that it’s CHEAP! It’s not trying to hide that, either. It’s cheap & you’re getting exactly what you pay for. Quite a comfortable grip, makes holding the 3DS with my big hands much easier and makes extended play sessions so comfortable. The only problem I have with it is the joke of a kickstand on the back, where the price really starts to show. It will not hold your DS up, and is way too easy to knock over. Honestly, the kickstand feels too cheap. I think they could get the price of the unit down if they would just manufacture it without the kick stand. It’s a waste. Every other aspect of the grip is perfect, but if they shave another 4 dollars off the price by removing it, and I think this would be perfect.

Feels great on the console and the plastic is a good quality.Kinds of a glittery Grey color which I like. Snaps on well. Shake test, it is not coming off easily.WOW! Game play wise it is a massive boost. Playes FE awakening for 4hrs straight didn't realize, no cramps, no need to change position.

Bottom Line:Better than no grip; I'm willing to deal with the cons listed below for that reason alone.Not their fault, but lame:> Putting this on your 3DS XL will make it not fit in any protective zip-up case you have. For nearly the same price, my switch grip is sturdier, doesn't block anything accept docking ability on a standard dock, is more flexible, and has lasted over 6 years. For the materials this is made from, I expect <$10 price range. The vender should ship it without a box to save money on materials if necessary.> The game card slot is blocked. This is likely because in order to leave it unblocked, the frame would be too fragile, so they block it; at least I hope that's the reason.> You need specific instructions to remove it without breaking it. This is a bad design if that's the case.> It's a little small. Not super small, but the grip is off compared to something like an Xbox controller.> If you're going to make box art and text, do your due diligence to use proper English (or any other language the box text comes in), otherwise do away with it all together to save money on packaging and reduce the price of the item for consumers. This isn't a dig on the product itself, just a pet peeve of mine.

I got this because holding my 3ds has been hurting my hands. The grip helps a lot and now I can play my older games again. You do have to remove it to put in a game cartridge in but thats okay. It seems very sturdy.

One thing I always hated about holding my 3DS is that years of playing has scratched the paint of it from the sweat and handling. But this thing latches on with a secure grip and protects those edges where the paint fell off and gives a nice feel to the system. No longer do I have to wrap my fingers against the whole back just to feel like I I have a good grip, now I can play with with minimum grip strength without worrying about dropping. It even has a stand on the back so you can play on top of a table.

The console sits loosely in the case and can fall out under its own weight. This doesn't offer much more grip than a cheap clear shell style case.

This thing is honestly really good! It isn't the highest quality when it comes to material, though it gets the job done really well. I have bigger hands and this thing makes holding the new 3ds xl 10x more comfortable than ever, especially when playing games that use the C stick (small nub) to constantly look around, like in majora's mask for example. It's a great product and I recommend purchasing it if you're hand become uncomfortable after using the 3ds for extended periods of time. 10/10

This grip certainly makes the New 3DS XL more comfortable to hold, especially during long periods of time. I started getting bad cramps in my hand while playing the 3DS XL for extended periods, as I often tried to play one handed, and rested a lot of the unit's weight on my pinkie finger. This grip makes for a much better balance my hands, and allows me to play one handed in a more comfortable, natural and less cramp inducing grip. The Hand Grip is correctly molded for the New 3DS LX, allowing easy access to all buttons, the power cord, stylus and the game cartridges without having to remove the grip.The down side is that the grip does not remain firmly attached to the 3DS after a few weeks of use. While rock solid out of the gate, after several months of use, it does not remain as firmly locked in place as I would like. While my 3DS has not yet fallen out, I'm far more cautious about the balance of the 3DS within the grip and how I'm holding it than I was when it first arrived.The grip does not add a huge amount of extra bulk, it is still noticeable. I tend to remove the grip for daily, short burst use or while carrying the 3DS in my purse, and only attach it when at home or while traveling, when I know I'll be playing for extended periods. This grip truly saved my hands during a 20 hour transatlantic flight, though its not-quite secure lock in makes it less practical for short bursts of play.
