Amazing
It took me a while to review this. But this stuff is great. Its hard to smell it in your own hair. I sprayed it my hair but got nose blind to it after a few minutes. I can never ever smell it in nlmy hair. But I have sprayed it in my daughters hair and love the way she smells when I get a close to her. It's really a nice, universal good smell. It's something even a guy would smell good in. I definitely recommend

Has been a hair care staple for as long as I can remember
I love Carol's Daughters products and this leave in is a constant staple in my hair care. I usually get it at Target but I ran out and didn't feel like running out and was pleasantly surprised to find its even a bit cheaper on Amazon. I have fine, thin hair that is regularly color treated and sometimes heat styled. This is one of the products that keeps my hair healthy, despite the abuse it takes. When I wash my hair, I'll usually spray into damp hair from midlengths to ends so it doesn't weigh down my fine hair at the roots. It really nourishes my hair, keeping it soft, silky, shiny and healthy. I love the smell. At night, I mist my hair from roots to ends and leave in over night. It's a bit more expensive than other drugstore brands, but it's worth the extra money hands down

Strong smell but hair is pretty smooth
It's true the scent is pretty overwhelming, maybe has alcohol -- you'll want to avoid breathing in any air you sprayed it in. When I first tried this leave in conditioner on dry (not wet/damp) hair, it made the hair feel a little more tacky rather than smooth and moisturized. But it seems to do a pretty good job if I use it on damp hair just after showering. Not tacky/sticky at all and my fingers run through my hair smoothly. The scent also fades quite a lot so you won't notice it so much all the time.

NOT GOOD AND GOOD ( READ)
This is a great product for people who have locs or dreads. For my personal hair this product dries my hair out. It does not moisturize my hair I literally only use it for the scent, so kind of like a hair perfume if that makes sense. I try to use it one time I had just washed my hair and I applied it all over my hair , Worst decision ever. It made my hair hard unmanageable and weighed down to the max, basically everything you do not want your hair to feel like.I will only use this on dry hair and the smallest spray ever , about three sprays on my hair far away and that’s it.My boyfriend uses this for his dreads , I use it for scent lol

I don’t know why this had bad reviews
I LOVE and swear by this product! I use the almond milk whole system from Carole’s daughter (shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner, and hair mask). I always get complements on how my hair smells. I don’t think it smells like baby powder at all, it’s more of a subtle sweet smell. I get the best rest with it when I use it to help tame my hair in between wash days (basically use it to re wet my hair so I can do something with it), I also use it to tame fly ways and when I go natural it helps give my curls definition and makes them soooooooo smooth and soft! IM ADDICTED TO THIS STUFF! Pro tip: put it in a mister bottle for better application 😄

Leave In?
When I first sprayed this product on my hair, I noticed the smell right away. It's not bad at all, but one can't help but notice the chemical-like smell at the end of the almond note. I used it in combination with a water and oil mixture as well as some flaxseed gel to bring out and define my curl pattern. I did this for several days straight since the leave-in states it's light enough for daily use. I live in a very dry climate, so keeping my hair moisturized is important because my hair dries out quick and feels becomes brittle. I think this leave-in conditioner dried my hair out faster!!! And I would say the butylene glycol, which is the fourth ingredient, is the culprit. It probably contributed to the chemical smell as well. It's unfortunate because finding alcohol-free hair products is comparable to searching for a unicorn. But living in a dry climate, I really don't need another hair product drying out my hair. Luckily, I bought another leave-in conditioner in unison and it's actually containing the moisture in my hair so much better. So overall, I'd give this product three stars. It doesn't really look (or smell) all that much like a leave-in...at least compared to the ones I've used in the past...but it did help with detangling, the smell was still decent, it was light on my hair with the few days I applied it, and I like that it didn't contain a bunch of harmful ingredients.

Transformed and Defined My Natural Curly Texture
This is the best conditioner I have ever used. My hair is naturally in loose curls and is quite thick. It’s the type of hair that tangles sitting still. I also do not blow dry, straighten, or heat treat in any way and it has never been colored. I have been unhappy with my texture lately. It seemed limp and lackluster and my curls were undefined and there were less than usual. I started using Carroll’s Daughter and within only a couple uses, my texture was transformed back to it’s normal state. My curls are far more defined and the natural oils are no longer being stripped. I have way more volume too. It has truly surpassed my expectations. I can’t imagine buying another brand now that I’ve tried this one.
