Grew incredibly fast!
The planted onions didn’t all grow this year— so I had to order more. This wasn’t the cheapest but it was the most readily available with fast shipping. They turned out great and started growing right away! The container was well filled and the fast growth makes me feel confident they’ll be healthy throughout the growing period. The various colors are great and I can’t wait to harvest them.

When it comes to 50+ they definately err on the "+" side by a lot
So. I had a small onion patch that I had nurtured and tended for about 5 years. Then a ground hog one winter's day decided it would be a great idea to dig it up and decimate all of the onions I was wintering over and my established bunching green onions. So I set out to get some new onion starts. Many seed companies are charging $5 - $20 for a small batch of starts (usually 20 or less starts), so I was surprised to this selection of 50+ mixed variety (Red, White, Yellow) onions from Stargazer Perennials for less than $10 when I bought them on sale. I figured for that price it was worth a chance. The shipped same day and arrived in a nice little white box the next day. When I opened the box I was surprised to see how packed it was, and all of the starts were in really good shape. That evening I planted them directly in the ground with nice spacing and separation. So, I am not sure who is counting their onions at the company, but after planting 90 onions (two 15 onion rows of each of the three varieties) The box was still half full. I was out of space at that point and I donated the rest to a friend of mine, who said they stopped counting after they put 60 in the ground at their house (so 50+ was very accurate and I am not complaining)I had 100% germination rate, and other than a few that were lost to squirrels, they have all grown quite well and seem very healthy. I will definitely buy again in the future as needed.

Satisfied so far
At 1st glance I thought several onion sets were dried up and no good. Once I prepared my soil and started to plant, there were maybe half dozen that were of no grow able substance. Because it's past midway of summer, I decided to soak the sets in water for several hours before planting. Im happy to say within 3days, the onion sets were sprouting even in dry hot humid temps. I like there are 3varieties growing. Its been 2weeks n they are growing

Small, Dried Up. Many Unplantable
Very small bulbs. About half of them are unplantable since they are totally dried out. Just a lot of papery husk with nothing inside. Pretty disappointed.Once agan trusted Amazon to send me something usable and got sub standard quality instead. All this and a very overpriced value! Not amused at all.

OK, Not Great
3.5 stars approx.15-20 of the seeds/bulbs could not be used. Unfortunately, they were fully dried out and paper thin (the bulbs no longer existed). Once planted, we had around a 70% growth rate/germination success.
