Still a good product
The product is what I need. Unfortunately when I used it the middle size expander broke.

Ingenious idea, NOT impact worthy
I'll start by saying this product is a great idea. As seen in the picture on the right, it's just a threaded rod with two cone shaped "drivers" with a space for a nut to sit in one of them. As you turn the rod it pulls the drivers together, pushing the expansion tool outwards. The only drawback I see with this design is once fully expanded the expansion "fingers" don't form a perfect circle but more of an octagonal shape. You have to rotate tool during expansion process to evenly stretch the pipe. This product arrived with one of the largest size bands broken on largest expansion tool. This should have been a clear indication of the quality of this product. Luckily they come with a set of spares for each size tool and being optimistic I decided to try it anyway... plus I still needed my damn pipe stretched.I used this product on an 08 dodge caravan exhaust. The replacement resonator I bought was supposed to be flared to accept the muffler but instead was the same size. You know how cheap aftermarket parts are. Using a half inch impact and the appropriate size socket I started out with the second largest tool as the largest one wouldn't quite fit in the fully retracted position. Once the tool got tight inside the pipe a gave it a pretty big blast from the impact. Within seconds the driver with the nut indentation disintegrated. It was also challenging afterward getting the broken tool to retract so I could get it out of the exhaust.Luckily i had managed to stretch the pipe in question enough to get the largest expansion tool to partially into the pipe. This time i took my time and slowly expanded and retracted the the tool multiple times and in different positions. My last attempt to stretch the pipe actually broke one of the fingers in half. Also the threads on both the rod and nut are partially stripped after one use, as seen in the middle picture.Overall this product is a great idea but ime not sure it saved me any money compared to having an exhaust shop just expand the pipe for me.

This pipe expander is great for removing dents and creases.
The expander kit was far better that I had expected. If you take time and care you can get enough expansion to fit the pipes together. It is not a commercial built tool but does get the job done.In photos you see broken spreaders, If you put a short length of equal diameter pipe over the opposite endit keeps them from breaking.

Poor quality. It will likely break
Very poor quality. The individual elements that expand are cast of cheap metal and very brittle. As a result, many of them broke up as I tightened the tool to round the pipe. I tried two sizes and both crumbled when I tried to use them. Note that I was using a 3/8” drive ratchet and socket, no power tools. I guess that’s what I get for trying to get by with the cheap tool. But I was just trying to re-round the pipe so thought that it should handle the job. WRONG!

Got the job done, but two of the fingers broke on the medium expander.
Got some severe dents in my tail pipe on my Jeep JLUR 3.6 V6 after off-roading. My 3” tail pipe was crushed to the point where I was barely able to initially fit the medium expander in the pipe. Through trial and error, I was able to expand the pipe enough with the medium expander to fit the large expander to finish the job. This was my first time using the tool, and although I broke two of the fingers on the medium tool, I learned that’s going slow, and backing out rotating the tool alternating the fingers to mold the pipe back to position allowed me to successfully complete the project. Used a hand wrench, and in retrospect I would have heat treated the pipe to soften it up. This tool would be a home run if I can get replacement fingers, otherwise I give this tool 4 stars. If I can get replacement fingers I will update this review to 5 stars.

worthless on stainless steel
I tried to expand 3" stainless steel exhaust pipe, pipe did not budge and striped the nut and the collar of tool now has stress cracks starting.
