"24" Season Six is Spectacular
Having viewed the previous five seasons of "24", I could not imagine how this season could top or equal what I consider TV perfection; yet, Season 6 does exactly that and more.Day 6 is a race against time to stop Islamic terrorists from setting off suitcase nuclear bombs in the US. The initial episode shows the US government, now led by President Wayne Palmer, ready to give up the life of Jack Bauer in exchange for stopping the suitcase nukes. Having been tortured in China for the previous several years, Jack is ready to die for his country, his spirit apparently broken. However, Jack being Jack, he escapes certain death, learns the truth behind the terror threat, and then begins his crusade to stop the nukes from being exploded. Like the seasons before, this season's plot is intensely engaging and keeps you on the edge of your seat with heart-thumping action and drama. Season 6 is every bit as engaging as the preceding seasons that made "24" the best show on television. As a long-time watcher of "24", the adage, "Expect the unexpected" is again true to form in season six. Unexpected turns in the plot is what makes "24" so engaging and so compelling. The unpredictable script is a credit to the show's writers, who once again serve up a masterpiece. As in the seasons before, Season Six revisits the theme of having and maintaining a meaningful relationship in a job where stress and conflict are as certain as death and taxes. In Season Six, the emotional melodrama takes on an almost "soap-opera" quality about it, which I found somewhat "campy". This aside however, Season Six is every bit as compelling as the viewers of "24" have come to expect. Watching it one episode after another is the best way to view the series, as the previous show's plot line are crystal clear.Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed! This is the best show on TV, 100%, final answer, case closed!kone

The writers are genius
This show, 24, is the best writing ever in the entire world and in the entire history of television writing. These days the rest of Television is just the most dispicible flop shows but 24 is ethical, leaves out the porno and the language is honorable all of which the rest of TV has left me with the turning to news because the entertainment shows have gotten so indecent in their language. 24, even if they wrote a season that was less than we have seen, would be so far better than the rest of television. They could run for 50 years and still be interesting, exciting and leaving the person on the edge of their seat unable to even get out of the chair to go and get a snack. Each season of 24 is written so well that when things get bad you think it couldn't get any worse and it does - and when you think it couldn't get any worse than that it does, and it so many twists that you think the writers couldn't possibly think of another twist and they do. I can hardly wait until December 4 when season 6 is released because I'll be there to sit for 24 hours to watch unable to get out of my chair.Oh, if you haven't started watching the seasons yet start with season One. You also had better wait until you have two days off from work because you won't be able to turn off the television until you have seen the last scene and you will be left wishing there were more. You will be lucky because you will have 5 more seasons to watch. I'm always left waiting until the next December waiting for the next season and then I'm sad because I have to wait another year. AHA...such is life. I wish there were another series that were as good as that so I wouldn't have to wait so long for something interesting made for television.KC

Cannot say enough about the series
I cannot find entertainment like shows I used to watch. This is just about the whole series for me.

Jack Bauer Day 6
Season 6 was a better season than expected. Some of the best character plots throughout the series was definitely the relationship between Chloe and Morris. With Morris, Chloe to a degree has an equal partner that very much stands up, at times against her, but overall loves her deeply despite their contrasting relationship. I indeed do like Morris very much, arguably portrayed as an extremely brilliant man. It's too bad that Bill Buchanan is a fictional character. A leader such as Buchanan would be a breath of fresh air in real life. In the end, I enjoyed the eventual confrontation between Defense Secretary James Heller and Jack Bauer. Heller's words stung Bauer and to a degree momentarily humiliated him all while he was detained and arrested in CTU custody. But Heller was definitely correct about how people's lives directly and indirectly suffer when they are involved in Jack's life. Many people in Jack's life seems to die around him despite the fact that Jack continues to be the ultimate agent/soldier when the nation needs a champion to defend and protect the United States in the complex universe of 24.
