Packing getting easier
Due to an increase in work travel, I've decided to streamline my packing process- I am a chronic over packer. I bought the EC Tarmac luggage, and while I think they should include the packing system, or at least the option, with the luggage purchase, I am excited about this system. I got the folder 18, tube cube, and a couple of other cubes and got to work. I put 2 pairs of jeans, 2 pairs of sweats, 1 dress, 1 skirt, 4 shirts and some PJ bottoms and I could have easily fit more. I used the tubes and cubes for undies, leggings, socks and tshirts and such. I also rolled 2 pullover sweaters and 2 cardigans into another cube. It was amazing how all of it fit, was organized and easy to access. My only issue was fitting it all into a non EC bag (mine had not yet arrive before my last business trip). I usually use the furrows made by the upright luggage handle to pack shoes, loose items, flat iron and hair brush. I managed to fit all of my clothing, including using the vacuum bags for my gortex down jacket and other items into these folders, cubes and tubes. It's a great idea and a great feeling to finally know where all of my stuff is, to easily access it, and that it won't be wrinkled, soiled or bounce around or fall out of the luggage once TSA opens the bag. I'm a convert, I can't wait to pack it up again for my next trip!

No folding instructions, weak handle
My folder did not come with folding instructions on the board and the handle on top ripped off with only a little force applied the third time I used it!

Bulky
This thing was bulky. For my purposes, which were backpacking through Europe, it was unnecessary. Word to the wise - just don't pack anything that you can't roll. Saves space. However, I'm sure it would do what it's supposed to, keep things from wrinkling and might be great for business trips. Just not for backpacking, or if you're short on space.

Great concept, moderately useful
So having read many great reviews on this item, I decided to purchase it just prior to a two week trip. I have a 22inch roller and my goal was to be able to pack for two weeks and not check a bag. To be realistic, I was able to comfortably fit 4 dress shirts, 2 pairs of pants, and a pair of jeans. I generally like the product and I think it does what it's advertised to do. I do have two caveats that I think anyone should consider before purchasing.1. One of the major "features' of this product is that your clothes don't get wrinkled. The idea is that the compression of the material and the direction for laying out your clothes allows the material to remain immobile, therefore preventing wrinkles. However, this really assumes that the folder is the last thing you put in your suitcase and thus there is no pressure being exerted. The way I pack, there is so much pressure on the pack-it that all my clothes get the crease lines from the folds. When I fold my shirts normally, I do two folds, half the long way and half the short. This creates two creases max. The pack-its creates 5 creases and as a result it actually makes my clothes more wrinkly sometimes.2. The second feature is reducing volume. What you may not consider is that the because the pack-it is shorter than a 22inch roller length-wise, you actually created a shorter fold, thus increasing over height of your stack. I did an experiment and because of the rigidity of the pack-it, it actually increased my volume instead of decrease. So those are my two caveats. Great product, but I'm pretty sure after a little while, I'm just going to go back to folding my shirts and putting them in my case without this.

Good idea, good product, good value
I've used these Eagle Creek packers for many years and finally decided to add to my limited collection. These newer ones are lighter and better made than my older ones (which are still going strong). I rarely use the folding board, but my daughter loves them. Regardless of how clothes are folded, they stay tightly packed until needed. I put them in a hotel drawer on longer stays and don't bother to unpack an item until I need it. Be sure to get a variety of sizes to accommodate all your clothes. These things are indispensable for any level of travel.

Useless
I gotta start off by saying I am a huge fan of Eagle Creek and own a ton of their products including luggage. I bought this product expecting it to be just as great and was horribly disappointed. To begin with the thing actually INCREASES the volume of your bag. It is unwieldy and takes up significantly more space than other packing methods. I have actually tried to use it 5-6 times for both business and leisure trips and have always ended up removing my clothes from the device and packing them either using the cubes (for casual clothes) or a folding method for business clothes.I don't see how it prevents wrinkles. cute idea but it doesn't work.

It's simple and it works!!!
A bonus is that this folder comes with directions on the plastic sheet that is also used when folding shirts and pants. It fit perfectly in my carry-on. Eight hours later with all the shifting going from one flight to the next one and then taking an hour bus ride was a pretty good test. The only wrinkles I found were where I did not take the time to smooth the bunched up material. So take the time to fold your clothes properly and neatly. Using the folder actually takes up less space compared to the usual way clothes are packed. Love it!!!

OK but not great
I bought two of these to use on a family trip. The tee shirts did come out with less wrinkles. It took a few times before I was comfortable using it. The collared shirts were harder to fold. I wish I had ordered one of the larger sizes to try on pants. We just ended up rolling our shorts and pants as we had done before. Hard-sided luggage would work better than soft-sided duffle bags. Also it did add bulk and weight to my luggage which would be a problem when you check your luggage at the airport.
