For a clone this thing is 100% compatible with everything I’ve thrown at it! Easy installation as well, it also comes with handy plastic standoffs so you don’t stress on the connector itself!

I normally don't leave reviews, but I have to put this out there as a fair warning towars others attempting this mod project. This can potentially brick your console. I don't understand how it happened, everything was going smoothly and i had about 126 roms loaded onto the ode, and was testing all of the roms to make sure everything was functioning as it should. I was going in alphabetical order and when i booted up centipede, it crashed. when i restarted the consolem it froze on the dreamcast logo. the time after that? the dreamcast logo was glitchy and froze. eventually it wouldn't get to the logo anymore. i removed the ode and put the optical drive back in and it's still the same case scenerio. even with a disc in this...my advice? don't be like me and look at the other 1 star review that states the ode dies within a few hours. take that to heart and avoide this. I'm not a newbie to modding either. I've softmodded my ps2 and wii in the past flawlessly. i'm not sure what went wrong here but it certainly was not on my end as i was following in depth guides to be safe. In the end, I wish I didn't cheap out on this and just got a MODE by terraonion instead :( now i have no dreamcast at all

just like most other old consoles today games can cost a fortune so items like these can help. I recently got a Dreamcast for the first time and got this as well and it's been working fine. also kinda disappointed that my unit only came with 1 support. it's not a big deal but would've happier if all 3 were included.

Super easy install, works Great!

I bought this thing about 2 months ago, I probably played about 30 hours in total within those 2 months, then it stopped working completely. It was 185 dls total, contacted Amazon, was told the warranty had expired after 30 and I needed to contact the vendor, the vendor after one week told me to contact Amazon to get my money refunded. After contacting Amazon, they decided to refund me the money except I would have to pay the restocking fee of 35 dls. A restocking fee of an item that didn't last for more than a few hours of gameplay. I imagine that if there's a Restocking Fee, someone else will be getting this product at some point. I have light bulbs that costs 5dls that have lasted way way longer than this thing. Never again.

Works great. Very easy to install. It comes with four plastic legs to support the board.I would add some resistors to the 12 volt line after installing the gdemu. The 12 volt line may get very hot otherwise. I used 3 1k ohm 1/2 watt resistors.400gb sandisk microsd card works perfect for me. Holds the entire North American library and some JP and EU exclusives.

I got this because the shipping was next day but regardless it’s a legitimate GDEMU clone with the same firmware as the other 5.15 / 5.5 clones. Works great so far.

Installation was super simple. The Dreamcast only has 4 phillips head screws holding it together and 3 phillips head screws holding down the GD-ROM drive.I purchased the SD card extension cable with the enclosure to hide the empty gaping hole that is left behind when you remove the systems GD-ROM. A few tips to help you get your backups up and running;1. You NEED to format your SD card in FAT32 format. exFAT will not work (a free program called Fat32Format is online if your OS will not allow FAT32 formatting).2. A helpful tool called GDMENU Card Manager will do all the work for you when wanting to transfer your .gdi games to the SD card.3. Holding down A,B,X,Y and pressing START on the controller will bring you back to the main GDEMU menu (may have to press multiple times).4. Your first boot-up may bring you to the Dreamcast's main menu. If you press play your screen may turn white. Power cycling the system fixed this for me and brought me to the main GDEMU menu.5. You WILL want to replace the system fan with a quieter one. I never noticed just how loud this thing is since the loud noises of the GD-ROM drive are no longer present. It is so loud!6. GDEMU claims it is only compatible with VA1 Dreamcast's. If you flip your system over and check the number beside the region code it should have a 1. If it's a 2, not compatible. Opening up your system and double checking the stamped voltage beside the GD-ROM making sure it reads 3.3V will ensure your system is compatible.All in all, pretty neat system. Requires zero soldering and zero permanent modifications.

El GDEMU original ya es imposible conseguirlo y sólo se encuentran estos clones chinos pero funcionan igual de bien. Es super fácil de instalar, basta con ver un vídeo de Youtube si tienes dudas...Recomiendo mucho comprar el Dreampsu junto con este Gdemu ya que, sin el lector, la fuente original del Dreamcast se calentará mucho y a la larga dañará tu consola.

AUnque había vendedores más económicos en China, me anime a comprarla porque este vendedor envía desde México con la logística de Amazon. Tardo un dia en llegar. La tarjeta GDEMU es la que es considerada la mejor versión. Funciona muy bien aunque debes tener en cuenta que tu dreamcast debe tener la motherboard VA1. Creo que vale la pena revivir una Dreamcast con este emulador de GDI. Si tienes un Dreamcast recolectando polvo porque ya no sirve el laser, no dudes en comprar el GDEMU.
