SIGGDrinking Bottles Dust Cap, Transparent

One of the first things I bought when I began climbing in 1982 was a pair of SIGG bottles : one to hold fuel and the other to hold water. I almost immediately bought new caps for the bottles: a special pouring cap for the fuel bottle and a dedicated drinking cap with a "bite" nozzle for the one that held my water.One of the main components of the drinking bottle top is a hinged dust cap. Those caps get a lot of use and occasionally need to be replaced, which posed no problem to me until I bought the dust cap pictured above.It just doesn't fit.The hinge is too wide to snap into the pivot mount - and if you trim the hinge down to the proper size the cap will not stay securely snapped down . As I lack a fully calibrated eyeball I cannot provide precise measurements but it seems that the cap itself is just a wee bit too shallow to accommodate the bite nozzle.It may be that the design specs for those specialty caps has changed over the last 35+ years but I doubt I am the only person using "veteran" gear. I'd like to see some sort of cautionary note drawing attention to the change in dimensions.

Farbe passt nicht, war weiß anstatt gelb, ansonsten alles o.k.

Ho comperato l’anno scorso la borraccia, purtroppo il tappo si staccava spesso e dopo qualche volta si è’ perso (usato da bambino di 3 anni). Ho quindi comperato un nuovo tappo, che e’ durato ancor meno perché si è’ staccato ed andato perso di nuovo. Molto delusa dalla qualità di questo prodotto che dovrebbe essere alta mentre - per un problema di questo tipo - rende completamente inutilizzabile il prodotto.

Das Produkt hält, was es verspricht! Der Deckel hat schon einem Sturz von der Treppe stand gehalten - im Gegensatz zu dem Verschluss! Doch der ist hier nicht zu bewerten. Würde ich wieder kaufen!
