I thought all dog crates were the same, but the Contour line has a very clever door/latch design that makes it super easy and fast to use. Just pick the door up a little while closing and drop it over the catches to keep it closed. The latch bolt is only needed if you are leaving the dog unsupervised or if you have a real escape artist.Dimensions of the 48" model are 30 W x 33 H x 48 L

I’ve used many, many, many different crates and kennels over a lifetime of working with dogs and this had BY FAR the best door latches of any of them. 5/5 - would highly recommend.

These are very sturdy, and the doors are such good quality. They close in such a way that even the smartest dog can't escape. Our puppy loves it, and we love the slide out bottom that makes for easy cleansing each week!
