GobeUV 49mm Japan Optics 16-Layer Multi-Resistant Coated Ultra Violet Filter

Packaging is very nice. The filter is well made and fits perfectly on the 15-45 mm Canon M50 kit lens. The installation will not affect the attachment of a lens hood even in a reversed hood condition.

I have a selection of hi end Marumi and Hoya Pro Dig and, in my opinion, the Gobe is equal to, perhaps better than the other brands. It's nicely engineered with reassuringly crisp gnurling and thin profile - as good as you'll find re vignetting on a larger filter. I don't know if anyone does DXO like testing on filters but, subjectively, It seems clearer than the Pro Hoya, I guess, with the Schott glass version, that should be the case. I do have one comparable filter, a V expensive B&W which, interestingly, also uses Schott.And then...... there's the packaging: beautifully done, with a lens cloth given with each filter. In this corporate age, for once you feel as though you're being looked after as a customer.And then, there's their ecological commitment to plant five trees for every filter you buy.......To be honest, I don't think I'll be buying other than Gobe from now on. I just hope that their inevitable popularity in time won't go to their heads and that they retain their commitment to high quality, sensible pricing, and low profile but sincere environmental policy.If you buy, you won't be disappointed

Well made, reasonably priced, great optical performance. used on my Sigma 150 - 500, results are excellent. Filter thread is smooth, looks and feels well manufactured

I cannot give it better than 3 stars. Unfortunately I found that the filter kept becoming loose...I was continually tightening it until it eventually dropped off my lense, un-noticed by myself, and lost. I'm so used to filters becoming so tight that I need to get a filter grip to remove them. Such a shame because it seemed to be fine until that point but I shall have to think twice about buying another.

Ordered this 77mm ultra violet clear Filter to fit to my Tamron 70 - 200mm zoom camera lens.I use it to combat glare when the sun is brite and also to protect the lens glass from being damaged. The item arrived in perfect condition and on time. This is the first Gobe product I have bought, I will have no hesitation to buy a Gobe product in the future.Sent this report on 5th.May 2019.
