Just need to have a hotkey or remote key and it will be perfect.Some input devices could not be directly recognized for the first time use, need direct connection to pc first then via this usb switch.

Worked wonderfully for the first year.Then problems started creeping in, like peripherals getting disconnected for no reason. Now it's useless, lights are on but nobody's home. Can switch between hosts but that's all, no mouse or keyboard. Even with external power connected, it might work for a few seconds, then nothing. Disappointed, but we've had a good year together, I just expected a bit longer than that.

Tengo cuatro computadoras en mi escritorio, tres de ellas las tengo que usar diariamente por temas de trabajo. Me resolvio el problema de tener diversos teclados o tener que estar desconectando dispositivos.Tengo conectada mi camara web, mi impresora, mi teclado mecánico y un micrófono condensador externo. Cuando hago el switch, todo cambia de computadora y es controlado por la siguiente, es un deleite tener los mismos dispositivos disponibles en todas mis computadoras.El PERO que le pongo es que el botón que tiene en el cuerpo del aparato lleva un ciclo, es decir, para ir del dispositivo 1 al 4 siempre tienes que pasar por el 2 y el 3, no puedes ir directo. Además tengo que tener el dispositivo justo enfrente de mi, porque para cambiar de maquina a maquina necesito apretar el botón y eso no lo puedo hacer fácilmente si lo tengo al fondo del escritorio o dentro de alguna caja.Tengo otro dispositivo parecido a este, pero para mi monitor, ese otro switch lo tengo conectado a tres computadoras y a mi monitor, pero este, además de un botón en el cuerpo del switch, tiene un control remoto, de tal forma que el switch lo tengo dentro de una caja (no a la vista) y solo tengo el control remoto fuera, de tal forma no hay cables atravesados, pero este switch de USBs TIENE que estar a la mano, para poder hacer el switch entre dispositivos.Otro PERO que le pongo es que los leds que indican cual es el dispositivo que está activo son casi imperceptibles, es decir, tengo que jalar el switch y ponerlo de frente y de cerca para poder ver cual led está encendido. De plano ya mejor ni lo hago, mejor le pico al boton hasta que se selecciona la maquina que quiero. Quizás para alguien que solo cambiara de equipo una vez al día o un par de veces a la semana, no debe ser problema, pero para mi que lo hago varias veces en un dia, es un problema.Fuera de estos problemas de diseño, el aparato funciona a la perfección, los materiales son de buena calidad. Me gusta que es pequeño y muy funcional.

Der USB switch erfüllt für mich genau das was ich brauche, Tastatur und Maus für 2 PCs nutzbar zu machen. Genaugenommen sind es sogar jeweils ein Kabelgebundes und Kabelloses Gerät. Die Installation der Kabellosen Tastatur und Maus hat nicht auf Anhieb funktioniert, aber nach mehrmaligem Aus- und Einschalten ging es dann, und seitdem problemlos. Da ich meist nur einen der PCs zu einer Zeit benutze brauche ich den Schalter auch kaum, der eingeschaltete PC ist automatisch verbunden. Ich habe mit Massenspeicher nur kurz und Drucker nicht getestet, kann also darüber wenig aussagen. Ich vermute aber, dass das Prinzipbedingt zu Problemen führen kann.Also zusammenfassend :Pro :+ relativ einfache Installation. Kein Treiber o.ä. für den Umschalter selber notwendig+ Kein Netzteil notwendig (und auch nicht beigelegt) solange nur Tastatur und Maus daran betrieben werden+ automatische Umschaltung auf den aktiven PC, wenn nur einer eingeschaltet ist+ Stabiles, wertiges Metallgehäuse+ Die 2 benötigten etwas ungewöhnlichen USB A auf USB A Kabel sind beigelegt. Die weiteren Kabel der USB A Geräte hat man ja schonZu beachten :- Betrieb mit Funktatstatur und Maus war initial erst nach mehrmaligem Neustart möglich, danach aber problemlos- Netzteil ist nicht dabei, aber auch nur notwendig wenn Stromhungrige Geräte angeschlossen werden- Drucker habe ich nicht getestet. Ein Massenspeicher nur kurz. Das Umschalten ist aber Prinzipbedingt (nicht wegen diesem Gerät) problematisch und sollte vorsichtig, z.B. immer mit Abmelden des USB Speichers passieren

Very solid housing and buttons. The construction quality is immediately obvious when you handle it. But a couple major drawbacks:- Blue indicator lights are hard to see. Not a deal breaker but it's annoying and so easy to fix.- Does NOT have any ability to receive power, so I don't see how you could EVER use it with a hard drive, unless you find some specialist ultra lower power hard drive... but I'm doubtful. That's borderline dishonest advertising.- I started having connection issues that would be resolved by plugging/unplugging. Now it's mostly stopped working. It sounds like someone else experienced the same thing. This is the biggest flaw: it's unreliable and just stops working after about half a year. I don't know if it's related to cheap circuit boards or whatever but there it is. It's now a piece of junk.Really too bad as I was impressed by this out of the box. Fix these things and it'd soar to 5 stars!

Impressed by the build quality - I haven’t had any issues with connectivity so far. Only minor negative is that the LED indicators are quite small and slightly recessed so depending where you mount the unit it can be tricky to see which led is lit. Would still recommend though and pleased overall
