I bought these the other day thinking they were for the handheld freshsaver device. Not so. My fault. I should have read more closely. These are ZIPLOCK bags that seal from the bottom with a heat sealing machine including food saver. In short they're heavy duty Ziplock bags with the bottom out.I've never preserved this way before so who knows. This might be a good experience since I am keeping them. They are a very good price for bags. Just hope they work. I see no reason why they shouldn't.I would have given 5 stars had they warned ditsy customers like myself for there are a number of us out here.

These are very thick and seal every single time on the first try in my Kitchen Boss vacuum sealer. I didn’t realize when I ordered them that they had a zipper seal and was pleasantly surprised! After the hubby sliced open a couple of bags that had been in the freezer, I had to show him that he needs to slice the other end because they were resealable bags! For the first 2 or 3 sessions of sealing food up in these bags, I wrote on them w/a Sharpie to warn him not to open the wrong end again! These are great little bags, and wish I could find them in the quart and gallon size, but haven’t been able to so far. Please be aware that the zipper closure is EXTREMELY difficult to open the first time. It’s a very very strong closure! I definitely recommend these, but if you have arthritis in your hands, it may not be a good idea since they can be so difficult to open.

Bags seem well made, and are exactly what I wanted. However, for some reason, my vacuum sealer doesn't always work with them. It doesn't suck the air out correctly so I have to cancel the vacuum, re-adjust the bag, and start again. I had to do this like 5 times for every one bag that I tried to vacuum seal. After 20 bags, it really started to aggravate me. I guess maybe it could be my machine, but out of the hundreds and hundreds of food saver brand bags that I've used, I've never had this issues happen once before. So i'm putting the blame on the bags.

LOVE these bags! Was looking for something I could get in/out of but still make use of the vacuum sealer. I chop up herbs & things like garlic or ginger then freeze in mini silicone ice cube trays with coconut or olive oil to make my daily dinner prep a bit easier. I pack them up (rolled in parchment paper so they don't completely stick together) then seal them in these bags. I can easily get in/out to grab one cube when needed.I originally got them to make daily smoothie packs that I could just take out of the freezer & toss in the blender. I would do a similar trick as above and pre-blend the greens & veggies, then freeze into dense cubes. In the daily packs I would put 2 cubes of greens, a small handful of frozen berries & a cube of  E-3 Live BrainOn (Frozen Liquid) - 6 bottles, 16.2oz each .

Great concept for reusable items, but after only using about 15 bags so far, I've had 4 or 5 of them bad so far and not hold a vacuum. About 1/3 bad!?!? Hopefully the percentage of bad bags drops quickly or my actual cost per bag is 33% higher than advertised! On a side note, these bags do not rip open very easily. I usually have to rip from both sides to get open all the way across the top. Solution? Not sure since they are thick(er) bags. Perhaps a little deeper notch?

I bought these bags once before and it was great and I just bought it again and it doesn’t vacuum and seal as good as it did. It says it works on the food saver machines but the bags had a crimp and the side that needs to be vacuumed and sealed were not cut the same length. Is there a reason for that?

These are essentially pre-made pint size bags with a sealed zipper on the bottom. You hate seal the top of the bag once loaded and then when ready to use you tear off the bottom of the bag and open the zipper. The only way to reseal the bag is to close the zipper and then cut part of the top off and reseal with heat. Very impractical.

These bags were of the same quality as the Food Saver bags. It is a great price for 50 of this hard to find size. I was especially impressed that the manufacturer took the time to email me for my opinion of the bags and to make sure I was satisfied. I would have no problem ordering bags from this company in the future. It really is a hard to beat price!
