This thing is huge and thick - just what I wanted! The wood has no odors and was nice and smooth. So far I've used it for chopping nuts, fruits & vegetables, kneading bread, slicing homemade bread and as a giant charcuterie board.Side note: I gave both sides two nice coats of mineral oil before using and clean-up has been a breeze.Bonus FYI - Mineral Oil from the drug store is food safe and cheaper than cutting board oil which is just mineral oil and fragrance.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Always need another cutting board! I have several sizes handy both wood and plastic. I have a small kitchen and make the most of the space available. I use this large board as additional work area by pulling out a drawer and placing this one top. I've learned the hard way to 'treat it right' and not allow it to stay wet or soak. Use it, clean it and dry it. Avoid dropping it as well. Even though I ordered the oil treatment recommended by Amazon, I haven't applied it yet.

This is the perfect size, the groove around the edges is great when cutting meat, my Son was very impressed the first time he used this board when preparing steaks to cook up. I like the side grip cut outs on side, make lifting board really easy, plus the slip resistant tabs that come with it, nice touch.

Nice quality bamboo cutting boards - Bought two of these as sink covers in our Airstream Motor Home. Can use both to create large kitchen workspace, or only one, and keep the other sink available. Perfect size.

This is a lovely, LARGE, cutting board. I bought it for making pasta. It's very pretty. It cleans up so easily. Would highly recommend.
