ConklinDuragraph Fountain Pen - Broad Nib Fountain Pen, Amber - A Luxury Pen for Journaling, Autographs, and Memorable Gifts on Any Occasion

Nice to see the Broad nib offered on Amazon. I inked this pen with Monteverde Copper Noir - a nice match for the Durograph's beautiful amber - and the pen worked right away, no cleaning or flushing required. I was a little nervous about buying this pen, as some reviews I've read complain about the size or scratchiness of the nib (medium nib being too fine, hard starts, etc). I had no such problems; the broad truly is a broad nib that writes very wet and quite smoothly. It's not a lightweight pen, and posting the cap (which doesn't post securely) makes it too heavy and overbalanced; the unposted pen, however, is still long enough and comfortable to hold. The cap screws on snugly with several twists. The big box the Durograph comes in is overkill, though, and bulky to store. To be honest, I bought this pen primarily for its good looks, so I'm really pleased with how well it performs!

This pen writes smoothly giving control over your penmanship. It also sports a classic look.

I am a long time pen collector, preferring vintage pens by far over modern versions. When I first looked at this Conklin reproduction, I suspected that it would be a poor version of the old vintage Conklins. The negative reviews about nib quality did not help. But, I bought one anyway, based on the pen's appearance. I expected to refine the nib, break it in, etc. No! The pen is excellent! Well made, writes very well (in broad nib) and has now become one of my favorite writers. In fact, I bought another Duragraph, and it writes even better than the first. Maybe I got lucky, or maybe Conklin improved the pen, but I can rate it very highly.

Viene en su caja. El color es muy bonito y la experiencia escribiendo con ella es muy buena. Es una pluma de tamaño grande.

To have paid abot 80 dollars for a pen and then get it with a misaligned tine.. I'm scarred for life... Only Japanese and German nibs from now on
