EXCELLENT

Consigliate!

Decent Strings. Better than regular coated strings but not totally sold over uncoated strings.
I tried on a set to see if I'd like them. Typically I use Ernie Ball Cobalts on my darker guitars and D'Addarios on my brighter guitars. It's been years since I changed string types so I figured it's to experiment. First of all, I will agree with the rest of the reviews that these do not feel like normal coated strings. The bass strings especially feel normal. However, compared to a fresh set of D'Addario NYXL or Ernie Ball Cobalts I will say that the treble strings (G, B, E) had a slightly sticky feel to them. Again, it wasn't as bad as regular coated strings. At first, I thought I was going to hate but the next day my hands adjusted quickly to the feel and now it's barely there. I have to really try and find the differences now. So that's good!In terms of sound, for my ears, these strings are slightly subdued in the overtones when compared to the NYXL or Cobalts. They definitely sound better than other coated strings I've used in the past. I guess I will have to wait a while to see how the strings sound as they age. Hopefully, it'll have a more consistent sound over time compared to uncoated strings, and that might make me change my rating. That to me is worth it especially for the guitars in my collection that I don't play every day. Most interestingly!!! These strings respond to your pick more than any other string I've used. I absolutely hated playing with Dunlop tortex picks. The attack noise was not what I like at all. But for smoother pick edges like Fender celluloid picks or Dunlop gator picks the sound was great. In fact, the gator picks brought back some of the overtones that I thought was missing when I first played these strings. I think that it's really interesting that these strings respond to your pick so dramatically. I think it might be worth experimenting further!

I love Cleartone & so does my Gibson LP!
I love these strings! This is what shipped on my 2016 Gibson Les Paul Traditional now that Gibson is using these standard since 2014, and I'm glad they did!My new found favorite! I've tried tons of other brands over the years, of which D'Addario and Ernie Balls were my favorites. But these strings last longer for sure, especially the steel unwound ones, which stay smooth and new feeling longer, and keep that fresh new string sound. I hate that scratchy rough almost sharp wire feeling that steel strings get once the shine wears away. These last way longer! The wound strings on the other hand lose that crisp bright tone fairly quickly, which is great as I'm not a fan of that brittle tone. After a week or so they begin to take on that full, thick, thuddy and round tone which I have come to adore especially on a mahogany body guitar i.e. a les Paul. I really love the colored ball ends as well (see pic). Similar to D'Addario but more solid colors, and easier to quickly identify. They're a bit more expensive than other sets, but well worth it in my opinion since I'm changing strings less. And the Hybrid 9-46 sized set is also my favorite for years now. Light top, heavy bottom style set. Love em!! Can't be mad at free 2 day Prime shipping either!

Heck ya. My favorites thus far
Best strings I have had the pleasure of moving around the fret board. There like the queen on a chess board elegant and powerful. I felt a difference instantly then the sonic resonance took it and check mate Vibratory nirvana. All other strings I have used are pawns and I am taking about the colored coded end ones. It seems however that all companies are going to this cleaver idea of the color coding Alot of imposters will try to and fake out the king and lay a trap of authentic fraud.
