This Art in the Earth coffee cup is made from orangestone clay and is wheel thrown and trimmed by hand in my own studio. I stamped the words in the mug. I used a different font for the ART than I did for the E and H to make the ART stand out. The letters are done with a black wash. I glazed it in blue glaze inside and on the rim. I left the raw clay on the outside of the mug for a tactile experience to keep you in the present while you are enjoying your morning ritual. It is fired to cone 10 (2380 Deg F) in a reduction environment. It measures 3 inches across at the top and 4.75 inches including the handle. It measures 4.5 inches high and holds 16 ounces. It is very comfortable to hold.
