Unique Sensor That Works Excellent
This sensor, that can work by itself or also works along with the YoLink suite of sensors is unique in that it uses a cloth like braided material surrounding a long sensor element that when the second it gets wet sounds an audible alarm and if you have it configured with their app it will send you text and / or email alerts every 5 minutes or so. You can place it around the bottom of a water heater or sink cabinet or A/C pan to cover a larger area so a leak can be detected as early as possible. If you need to cover a larger area you can link more sensor cables together, although I have not tried this or have not seen where you buy extra lengths of sensor cable.Of course, I did test the sensor and it reacts to even a drop of water and once the sensor cable gets wet is will alarm for quite a while even if you have tried to dry it with a towel. So I thought since this was just a test that I would just unplug the sensor cable and wait for it to dry out,,,, at which point, it started sending me texts every five minutes that the sensor cable was unplugged. Now while annoying, I thought that was pretty genius on the designers part since you would really like to know if the sensor had become unplugged (Think, for example, if you had moved some items underneath a sink and it pulled it out), well the sensor would no longer be viable but you wouldn't know until the water was running across the floor. Not with this little device as it will send you a notification.I have only had the system in place for two months (they also have other sensors available) and the battery levels are all still indicating full so I have not seen how well that feature works as it is supposed to track the battery level of the sensors. ( not sure if it sends an alert about low battery level)All in all, this is a slick set of sensors and while the app is a little bit clunky to get everything named and organized, once it is setup it is transparent. I hope this company can stay around to help support their product and possibly add other sensors to their repertoire.

Best water sensor out there!
I am a huge fan of YoLink products, especially their water sensors. I generally use the Water Sensor 2 which is the one with the 3 foot cord that senses water. I like this style because you can coil it around a water heater, under a washer or dishwasher and be assured that if water touches anywhere on the cord, you will get an alarm. I like that you can buy additional cords and connect them to the sensor so you can have even greater coverage. We had our steam dryer malfunction and was spraying so much water that is was coming out of the drum of the dryer and accumulating on the floor. This happened when we weren't home and the YoLink sensor under the washer alerted us immediately. Because we had the rope style, it alerted more quickly than if we had a point sensor. As we live on the 6th floor of a building, this could have been disastrous but wasn't thanks to our YoLink. Bonus is that you can dry out the cord, put it back and continue to be protected. Some alarms must be thrown away after they've gotten wet - not YoLink!

Great Customer Service
Great product, was a little complicated to get setup but the customer service for responding to all questions was remarkable, quick and very detailed response even outside of regular business hours. Thank you!

Great device, takes a few hours for cable to dry after leak detection.
It detects a leak, great! You clean up the leak, then, when you are most concerned about a repeat leak, set this product aside and let it dry for a few hours! NOT! Others say the cable takes so long to dry (even a hair dryer does not help much) they have a spare cable or have (at increased cost) bought a cable from another companies' water sensor. I took a star off for design of cable.

Buy it! Protects you from expensive water damage
After seeing my neighbor have two water leaks in a row that required her replacing her entire downstairs flooring, and all the disruption and cost of that I have now basically covered my entire house in YoLink water sensors. The average cost of repairing water damage in a house is somewhere from $10,000 to $20,000, and your insurance deductible is likely $1000 or more. So buying a bunch of these sensors is money very well spent! I also bought a YoLink smart water valve, so within seconds of a water leak being detected, the water to my whole house is shut off, stopping the leak and minimizing damage. Yes, you need a hub, but you only need one of those and then you can add as many YoLink devices as you need. The beauty of the YoLink system is that the devices use "LoRa" standard which is long range and low power. Batteries last for years. I have water leak sensors under or behind every sink, toilet as well as the hot water heater (pictured) and the "manabloc" water distribution board.Even if you don't want to get the shut off valve (it's a couple of hundred bucks) you can still get emails, texts or alerts on your phone if any water leak is detected. You won't regret buying these, but you regret not buying these if you are unlucky enough to get a water leak in your house.
