Inside Cooler Lid Light

This thing is great my boyfriend and I love to camp but hate trying to get our phone flashlight out and dig for a beer at the same time I was worried it might be really dim but it’s not it’s super bright and works awesome I would recommend super gluing it on just to make the adhesive last longer

Seriously though, whoever thought of this idea is a genious! I don't know how many times I have been digging through the cooler at night only to pick up 5 or more cans before I found that trusty beer, but not anymore. Honestly I didn't have high hopes for this cooler light seeing as it was only 8 or so dollars, but like I said, well worth it! I am actually about to buy 3-4 more for all of my other coolers.When I first got this in the mail, I immediately took it out of the package, got my cooler, and stuck it on the lid. I was like a little kid standing by the fridge opening and closing the door trying to figure out if the light goes off when you close the door or not. Believe it or not, it does lol. You can hear a pin/switch/ball falling as you close the lid to break the circuit, and the light goes out.Believe me when I say there is plenty of light to see any can in your cooler. I first had this in my 128 can cooler and could see everything on top like it was daylight. Only problem I have found so far is that the double sided tape didn't even last one night, but since I am going to get one for all of my coolers, I am just going to super glue them in, problem fixed.

Good light, but it doesn't stick on .I put it on ,when I opened the lid, the light was in my ice. Fix that problem. And you get 5 stars.

I managed to get this for approximately $8 here on Amazon when the price dropped. It's a great little light. It works well inside anything that has a lid that lifts up like a cooler. Would work on a coffee table that has a lid that lifts up with storage underneath. Once the plastic is pulled from the batteries, this will light up easily every time it goes through the lifting upright action. Be careful not to wear out your batteries before you mount it to your cooler. Very handy item! Well worth the money.

When I received this item, I took it out of the package and tested it right away without sticking it to the inside lid of my ice chest. It only worked part of the time, sometimes lighting up when horizontal (when the light is supposed to be off) and sometimes off when turned vertically (when the light should be on) It was very hard to get the light to turn off once it was lit. I had a camping trip planned the weekend after it arrived, so I got my cooler out of storage and tried to adhere the light to inside lid of my cooler with the double stick tape provided. It would not stick. I had some double stick tape of my own on hand and used it to place the light. I went on the camping trip that weekend, hoping that being mounted and used as it was meant to be "in the field" would make a difference. The first night, while opening the cooler to grab a beer, I said to my camping group "hey guys, look at my new gadget" where the light promptly fell off into the ice without lighting up. We all got a pretty good laugh out of that. Although it wasstill in the item return window, I had thrown away the packaging, something I usually NEVER do, but since it was so cheap, I did this time. The Coghlans Cooler Light is a good ideal very poorly executed. I hate to spend 20 dollars on the Coleman cooler light, but that one may actually work correctly. The Coghlans cooler light is WAY too cheaply made.

Easy design and not bad for the price my only complaint is the double sided tape lost it's grip on the first night, so when purchasing I recommend replacing or adding better tape to it. Besides that good for what it is.

I’ve already purchased a second one and have told many other people about it. Simple and so useful!

We have several parties every year and put the beer and soda in coolers outside and needed a light to see contents. These work perfectly and have lasted multiple years. Unfortunately my husband threw one away last party so this is a replacement. Great value too.

They work great open cooler they come on and stay on for a bit than shut off

Surprisingly bright, great in the cooler when camping.
