Great for teaching letters to reluctant learners
My daughter is 2 1/2, and she has always been resistant to learning the alphabet. She doesn’t like making guesses about what a letter is, and she often won’t even tell us the letter names that she does know. We have letter toys everywhere in our house, but I hadn’t really found anything that would be engaging for her and also help her learn the letters. She’s old enough now to start learning how to play some games, and I came across this set. I’m so glad I bought it for her! My husband and I play with her where one of us is on her team. We’ve only had the game for two days, but already she is improving at her ability to retain the letter names because now she has motivation to practice them while we play. This is seriously the only letter toy we have (out of many) that I have seen any real results with for my child. The cards themselves are very nice and thick, laminated. Some of the reviews were confusing, but these cards come with 2 identical cards of each letter with an uppercase letter and a picture in the center of the card, then the uppercase and lowercase letter together in the corner of the card, too. I considered another set before buying these where one card had uppercase and one lowercase letters on the matching cards. I’m really glad I went with these instead because at my daughter’s age I think it is important that the cards “match” and are simple for her. The fact that there are only two of each card (vs. 4 in some sets) has not been an issue at all. The game is really fun! I don’t know if it would be a problem if you played with more than two players, though.

My 3 year old LOVES these and they are great for in the car.
At first I was going to buy some cheaper cards, but I really liked how large the letters were on these, so I spent the extra money on these. I AM SO GLAD THAT I DID! My 3 year old absolutely LOVES this game. The cards are nice and big, which makes it easy for him to hold, and the letters are PERFECT for learning the alphabet. We have been looking for something that had the letters in different colors and large, and these are perfect. When we play we will say, "Do you have an A... like an Alligator?" And we will flash our card that has a large "A" with a little alligator on it. They are perfect and my son has caught on quickly. The cards are nice thickness, so they don't bend easily. Which makes it great for little ones. They are also glossy and I love the graphics they used. We bought these with some triangle card holders and they work great together. We couldn't be any happier with this purchase. It is even a great game for the car.

Fun!
My 5 year old grandson loves this card game. He caught on the first time we played. Although I must comment that some of the associated pictures on the letter cards could have been better thought out. Example: L has a Lollipop (?). He was confused because it’s a sucker to him. I don’t know of any child, or adult for that matter, that uses the word Lollipop anymore. Wouldn’t something like Ladder have been better? Otherwise it’s fun (he loves to say “Go Fish”) and a great way to help your kids with letter recognition.

Fantastic colorful large heavy weight cards.
Very please with the quality. Purchased to assist in letter recognition for a four year old whom can recite the alphabet but doesn't recognize all the letters. The cards are a colorful heavy weight glossy finish measuring approx. 3 1/4 x 4 1/2". Each card is bright and colorful with an upper and lower case letter on the top left, a large upper case letter in the middle of the card with a picture representing a word that starts with that letter. For the children that are unable to identify the letter to ask someone else if they have that card, they are able to identify the picture. For example the letter H has a picture of a house, so our child ask "do you have a house" and we are able to reply with a yes/no we do/do not have an "H" for house. The box that contains the cards is designed more like a board game box that the lid lifts of instead of a deck of cards box which tears easily when pulling cards out. Well worth our cost to purchase and be able to provide a fun educational way for letter recognition without our child even realizing it's more than just a game.

Fun and Learning in one
I bought this as a gift for my grandkids age 4 & 5 and they love it. They are learning while having fun. One thing to note is the cards are larger than a deck of cards.

Good quality but not worth the price
It’s pretty good quality. The cards feel laminated so it can handle a bit of water on them. The size is bigger than a normal deck of cards. I’m not sure this is a good or bad thing as it was hard for my little one to hold. I think it’s over priced. It’s basically better quality dollar store alphabet cards.
