BDP-S3700E Sony High Res Audio - Built-in WiFi - Multi System Region Free Blu Ray Disc DVD Player

I bought this after buying some DVDs in European PAL format that I could not get in US-NTSC format. It plays them effortlessly. Dont be fooled by DVD players that say it will play them. Go with a name brand and look st the reviews. The player is also fast and responsive. Great product.

Nice compact unit, easy to set up, plays DVD’s from the Us and the UK without any issues.

It worked and I was able to play my old dvds from different part of regions.The item is small, nothing compared to the old dvd players from the past.Nothing to complain however I notice when I play the dvd the machine makes some noise which bothers me a little.

I am over all very happy with this all regions blue ray player. I have cable TV so it was a breeze to set up. It plays very well. Here are the two reasons I did not give it a 5 star rating.1. Up can NEVER do a systems update to this machine, if you do, it will wipe out that its an All Regions Blue Ray player2. They do not tell you this at all, I had to find that out by customer fed back and customer reviews. Shame on them for not making sure this is known in BOLD print

I hasten to mention that the Sony part of this player is fine. Sony does not make the multi-region chip, and has nothing to do with the after-market modifications. WHOEVER did the after-market work failed. 75% of the time the disks freeze, judder, and skip over 10-30 minute chunks of programming. Some evenings I simply can't get it to play again, although sometimes I come back to it the next day and things work fine ... for an hour. It takes anywhere from half an hour to an hour of start-stop, on-off, polishing disks (they've never been scratched, but hey, gotta try everything, right?) and some random praying to get the video content to play. Honestly, I HATE this region-free player and "Bombay Electronics," the outfit that supposedly made the modifications.

Love this machine! I can't say that I've made a more satisfying electronics purchase in recent history. Bluray, DVD, CD, it really doesn't matter, it will play everything you feed it. It's also got more wireless apps than anything I can find online lists. Tired of paying for the sports cable package so you can watch your favorite baseball teams? Watch MLB.TV via the wifi hookup. Netflix, Hulu, even Amazon instant video. Great stuff! It's been s few months now and not a single issue!

this item very slow in term connection to internet if compare to other like equipment i have.....may be the technology are way back for sony if compare with samsung...

Set up is easy and DVDs are playing from different zones. Unfortunately streaming did not work for us. Especially youtube made a lot of programs. We ended up returning it. Need to find other multizone player :(
