It works. I confirm it is a CH340 chip and not as advertised, but that is not a problem. It is easy to find and install the driver for this if you need to.

8 in 1 program cable surpassed my expectations installed perfectly with Windows 7 and was able to program my Motorola CP200 just fine read and write very fast compared to my OEM program cable for my newer Astro PortableAs a precaution make sure to cap any unused connectors for safety with a little trial and error I found the right connector to use to program this old radio. A must have for any radio programming toolbox. The hard part was finding the software for Motorola CPS version 5.16 to programe the CP200 as it had been programmed by dealer with newer software a exhausting search located it. The program cable works just fine i recommend

plugged it into the radio and the windows 11 found it straight away.no more fighting with drivers on my old cables quality seems good as well.

Picked this up cause I didn't feel like hacking together a cat5 cable and a TTL dongle for some Motorolas. So here's the trick - IF YOU ARE PROGRAMMING CP200/300/Other COMMERCIAL Motorolas - pins 6 and 8 need to be either shorted or connected via a 100 ohm resistor (I just connected them). So if you pick up an RJ45 coupler and a 1 foot Ethernet patch, you can strip the patch cable in the middle, connect those two wires, and this WILL work for the commercial radios. I just programmed up a CP200 and CP300 tonight no problemo.Also programmed an Icom R10 fine. Will hit up the VX3R and the other shack toys soon; i'm sure it'll work a-ok.Nice to have in the toolbox.
