A+++ Had it for 15 minutes, I'm already writing a review. Buying a 2nd right now to keep in reserve.
OMG. I have had this keyboard for a whole 15 minutes and I'm already here writing a review. I have used probably 25 diff. keyboard in my life, and I can say with 100% certainty: This is the best keyboard I have ever owned. Red Switches... Soft touch feel, not loud, and the sound the keys do make is pleasant. The switch action is SO soooo smooth. It is just soo comfortable. I was previously using the TUF Gaming K7, and it was great, however the keys on that were the loudest thing i have ever heard from a keyboard. Not this guy, quiet, smooth, comfy, i mean... just everything about it. Backlighting is bright, and even. Heavy but not ridiculous metal chassis.. i mean.. AAA+++. I honestly may buy a second to keep in New In Box for when i need it.. $130 on sale for $75 right now???? that's a steal for a keyboard of this quality. wow. another home run by ASUS.

Great keyboard
Even though a newer version of this keyboard has already been released, this is a very good and inexpensive option. At one point I had three Strix keyboards at the same time: the Strix 2, the Strix 2 wireless, and this one. And honestly, it was very difficult to choose. I settled on the Strix 2 wireless, but purely because of the white color, since my entire setup is white.

Outstanding Keytboard
I got this keyboard, for my husband, to replace his aging ASUS Cerberus keyboard. He loves it. Optical switches are fast and light. Colors are great. Not using Armoury Crate because it is hot garbage. Highly recommend this keyboard for gamers and office workers.

Great keyboard overall.
This is a good keyboard. It's responsive and the keys feel good without being super loud and "clicky" the way many other gaming keyboards are. I've been using this daily for the past 4 years and haven't had any issues so far with performance or keys breaking etc. The only thing I find pretty annoying about this keyboard is that only the F1-F4 keys seem to work with most games. All of the others (F5-F12) have alternate uses as the "main" function, so none of them are recognized by default in any games. For some games, I was able to workaround this through aliases and some other things, but for others I simply have never been able to get them to work at all so you lose a lot of functionality/flexibility. This is a somewhat minor thing, and doesn't come into play too often, but when it does it can be a little bit annoying.

Replacement keys covers and switches not available to order...
I am a YouTube live gamer and I also blog a lot. This keyboard is like a dream when typing on it and it is also very bright which you can turn it down if desired. I had it a little over a month and one of the key covers was defective and came loose on the switch. I was resting my pinky on the key and it was suddenly floating completely unattached. I called their support number and the support people were very nice and willing, but not very helpful. I just wanted to order a new key switch and the key cover for Cap Lock. I was willing to pay for them myself also. They told me I could not order the switches and covers separately. The key covers have 4 thin pegs that are inserted into the switch. The pegs are made of brittle plastic and during the insertion process they can develop a fault. When covers sheer off the pegs are left in the switch leaving both the switch itself and cover useless. With a bit of finesse the switch can be pulled out. Having this happen on the caps lock key was not really that much of an issue. Maybe I just got a bad one. But, them not selling key covers and switches separately became an issue for me. They reached out 5 or 6 times trying to help me resolve my request for parts, eventually saying I had to send the unit in. Going without a keyboard for an extended period of time was not an option. I would almost say that the feel and touch quality of this keyboard is worth the chance of a key breaking and having to send it in. But, I wondered how would they repair it if no keys were available? This did not add up in my mind. Luckily, it was just slightly beyond warrantee and Amazon gave me a refund. I actually miss typing on this keyboard. The keys do not budge even a slight tiny bit, they are extremely rock solid in place. No wobble at all whatsoever. The flaw is with the company and their inability to furnish replacement keys. This is a serious rub. Secondly, I use one keyboard on two CPUs so I have a switcher box and the software used to control the lights does not work when plugged to my switcher. Only the hot keys can be used to control the lights, no custom light control. My other major brand LED keyboard of the same caliber works with my switcher. This was a rub also. I returned it to Amazon... I miss this keyboard, the brightness and the solid key structure bad enough I have considered buying one to use as a spare. ASUS needs to work on key replacement parts and perhaps I could learn to live with it not working with the custom light apps they offer. The plastic pegs in the key caps are brittle and need a less brittle plastic hardener formulation. I doubt there there is any keyboard on the market with keys as solid as these ones. Your fingers learn to love the touch and feel. Too bad their key and switch parts service is, "out of order"... If you buy this, keep a spare old keyboard on hand and don't throw away the box it comes in... Review for: ASUS Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - ROG Strix Scope RX | Red Optical Mechanical Switches If the price goes down to $60 I will probably take a chance and order another one. Having a spare would probably solve some issues. I sent the spare back to Amazon. I would have been fine if they sent me some used switches... I assume they have a room full of returns. ASUS kind of dropped the ball on this one.

KVM trouble but worked out well
I have an iogear KVM HDMI switch and when I first plugged this in, the keyboard did not function at all. When I plugged the keyboard directly into a computer it worked fine. If I plugged the keyboard into the device port on the KVM (already in use) the keyboard worked. I ended up getting a small USB 3 hub to plug both of the plugs from this keyboard, as well as the other device into the hub and the plugging the hub into the device port of my KVM and the keyboard worked properly. I needed to use Armory Crate to program the keyboard (Armory Crate was on 2 of my 3 computers) but I was able to set things up easily. Each computer has the keyboard set up for a different color (seems like the color is completely customizable) so now I can tell which computer is active by my keyboard color. The keys feel very nice and are almost too responsive; I am used to a slopier keyboard where a partial hit did not activate a key so I need to pay more attention to hitting just 1 key. You can hear the keys if you hit them fully until they come to a stop, but if you only touch them lightly, they are almost silent. The keyboard is much heavier than my old Microsoft keyboard so it is very stable and does not slide around as much. I used red, green, and blue as the basic colors for the 3 different computers ands the keyboard color updates shortly after changing the KVM selection. I really am very happy with this keyboard.

Bought this a few days ago and currently typing from it, overall the build quality is very good, pretty solid feel and the wire too is like really thiccc, the keys are very responsive, would say a little bit too much responsive than my last keyboard that was like a 1000 rupee one, once you get used to the spacing of the keys and the overall layout, your typing speed will increase substantially. For gaming, it's quite good, definitely stands up and is worth the price. The only thing i am still trying to get used to is the layout because as i said, the keys are a little bit too much responsive, so even a slight bump on another key while typing will add that alphabet.., i think that is something that i need to personally get used to so yeah..

希少な英語配列。 価格を上回る高級感があり、タイプ時のスムーズ感も最高。 ただキーが底打ちする時の音が少々大きく、そこだけが気になります。

I have been looking low noise keyboard. Compared to previous keyboard, typing sound is low and can type well. To change backlight, it is required to download app. Price is lower than retail price. Very satisfied. Thank you
