Melissa & Doug Rainbow Stamp Pad - 6 Washable Inks

First of all, I love Melissa & Doug toys for my granddaughter. The rubber stamp sets are really cute and we needed more ink pads for the stamp artist. The stamp pads are washable ink so safer on the furniture and clothes. Colors are bright and the stamp pad last a long time.

I let my niece play with it, but I think she was too young, so now the colors have been somewhat cross-contaminated. Once they cross over, there is no going back, your future stamps will have extra colors.TIP:However, IF the user has enough motor control, you can make stamps of multiple colors if you are careful enough to ink parts of the stamp, and then ink other parts without cross-over. Then you can make some pretty cool stamps, just make sure the side you don’t want inked yet hangs off the palette.Anyways, the palette was also left open for several hours a few times, and I could see it drying out. Along with the cross-contamination and preserving the life of the ink pads, I really think this product could have been improved with separate lids for each color, then you don’t have to open the ones you aren’t using.All in all, pretty standard stamp pad, came nicely saturated, and colors stamp true to what they look like in the ink pad. Colors are generally easy to wash off with soap and water, however, darker colors like red and blue are a *tad* bit more difficult. Happy with the purchase!

I already had a kit for my grandkids. The stamps were still good but the ink ran out. These ink pads work well.

These are somewhat dried out. I don't think they'll last a long time. Had they been wetter I would have given them a good review because you get a lot of colors for the price. The next ones I buy will be individual colors. I feel that because all the colors are exposed to the air even if you're only using one color that they will all continue to dry out very quickly. I think I'll try a different brand too. I thought Melissa and Doug ink pads would be good but they're dry. Maybe they were stored a long time by the seller??? Also, if a small child is using these they will dirty the lighter stamp pads with the darker colors. For them, inidividual stamp pads would be better so they can only use one color at a time.
