Keeps coffee warm and isn’t as delicate as it looks
This surprisingly keeps a lot of the heat in the Chemex! I thought since the entire chemex is glass, the lid wouldn’t do anything but I was wrong! This lid really can keep your coffee hot/warm for an hour plus. Just have to remember that it is there since it’s clear! I’ve dropped it many times which brings me to my next point; it is pretty drop resistant when dropped on a quartz counter. Very easy to clean.

Still does not keep your coffee hot for long… spout left open.
Why did you pick this product vs others?: This heavy glass seems sturdy and it does generally fit the chemex however the part of the chemex where you pour (where the spout is) is still left open with this lid so it does not maintain temperature for long as steam is still escaping. Would be nice if it had a silicone seal around it and a small silicone flap to cover the open area of the spout. Room for improvement.

I like the looks of it and serves the purpose. It does not have a rubber seal which would have been nice. I still love it though.

Does a good job at keeping coffee warm but too expensive for what it is.
Purchased a Chemex pour over carafe. The Carafe works great- a bit pricey but, honestly it’s worth the price. Purchased the matching Chemex lid to help keep my coffee warm in the carafe and top closed while I’m drinking my coffee. It does the job very well. Looks good and is also made of glass- which is cool. Problem is, at over $20, the lid is very pricey for what it is. Crazy but the lid is almost half the price of the carafe! I expected something larger to be honest. It’s very small and should have come with the carafe in the first place- especially since the carafe is pretty expensive on its own. Recommend if you don’t mind paying for it but honestly save your money. Buy a yeti coffee cup to keep your coffee warm. More expensive than the lid but not by much and you’ll be able to take your coffee to go!

Good to use when making slow Coffee in a chemex

Took a chance and purchased for a Bodum 8 cup pour over. Fits perfectly and helps keep the coffee warmer than the plastic thing Bodum supplied. Well made and looks good too. Very pleased.
