California Olive Ranch organic olive oil
This California Olive Ranch organic olive oil arrived quickly and smells amazing! I like that it comes in a dark glass bottle and not plastic! We don’t need anymore plastic in our body’s! The taste is great and very high quality. Great value for the money. Big bottle! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a good quality organic olive oil!

I trust this!
Great olive oil and I trust it. Only order the California one. It’s pure and delicious. Have used this for the last 4 years.

Best I've ever tasted!
This is the best extra virgin olive oil that I have ever tasted. Instead of a sometimes bitter aftertaste this oil is actually fruity. I use it in cooking and especially in salad's or sometimes as a condiment just drizzled over some other prepared dish.

Great for everything
Tastes great. I use it for everything - dipping bread, tossing pasta, frying eggs, making tuna melts, healthy replacement for melted butter on popcorn. Absolutely the best all-around olive oil that I've used so far.

Real Olive Oil
This is a true olive oil. It does NOT have other cheaper oils mixed in. The way to test an olive oil is to put it in the refrigerator for two days. The portion that does not congeal is not olive oil it is another oil that was added. Many brands claim Extra Virgin olive oil but are actually cut with other oils. California Olive Ranch not only has the taste of a true olive oil, but it congeals in the refrigerator. I keep it there and move small portions to a dark botttle. This keeps the olive oil fresh. With so much cheating going on, you can count on California Olive Ranch being a real olive oil.

Seems like a good product
I bought this 16.9 oz bottle due to it being America's Test Kitchen winner of the 'Best Store-variety Olive Oil'. Thought I'd give it a try, especially because I was interested in how a California olive oil would taste. Let me say upfront that I'm not in any way an olive oil conesseur, I cook with it primarily for it's health benefits, use a little on salads, and that's about it. I probably wouldn't even use olive oil at all were it not for health benefits -- I think olive oil in general imparts a 'different' (some say 'funny') flavor compared to other cooking oils. But that said, I've bought a lot of different olive oils made by different companies over the years. Overall, to me they taste about the same ...ok, sorry if I just made a bunch of people gasp. The good news is, the flavor is smooth, not funky, strong, pugnant or off-putting in any way. That's probably the most important thing. I lined up 4 bowls and put a dab into each bowl of 4 different of olive oils we had under our cabinet including this one. One was the remaining bottle of Bertolli, another was Partanna, a much more expensive supposed high-end awared winning Sicillian-produced bottle I bought after the holidays at 1/2 price, a bottle of Greek-made Olive oil I bought at Aldi's that was about 3 years old ......and this California olive oil. My daughter and I tested each and to us they had a slightly different flavor, but not tremendously so, and were all acceptable. I thought the Greek olive oil would be skunky due to it's age, but it didn't seem to be, however it had a little different flavor. A lot of companies apparently buy olives on the open market so just because it's Italian, Spanish or Greek made, it doesn't mean there aren't olives from other places. But many companies claim to use only home-grown olives, and those are the types I prefer to try. As far as award winning olive oils go, I went online and researched the awards and discovered there are literally hundreds of awards given out to olive oils which surprised me. Overall, I liked that the California Olive Oil bottle is glass, to me buying olive oil in a plastic bottle just seems unnatural and I avoid those. I don't care for the dark green color though. I prefer the clear bottles so I can see the color of the oil but my guess is it is to extend the product life. All in all the flavor was good and we used the whole bottle and enjoyed it.

Delicious!
We enjoy warm naan flatbread, Za atar and this brand olive oil just about every day. Exquisite. Only brand I reorder regularly and recommend. Pricey but worth every drop.

Real olive oil
Good real olive oil. Not the fake rancid common stuff. Has an earthy grassy taste. I suggest this brand if you are not used to real olive oil as it's a milder one to start with.

Aceite de buena calidad, el precio es algo costoso pero por su calidad y procesos que lleva obtener un buen aceite, se justifica.

The photo showed the original product which was the California Olive Oil Council certified product that California Olive Ranch used to produce, meant to be grown and bottled in California, but the items I were sent were their new Destination Series, which is NOT California Olive Oil Council certified and is produced by a number of different countries and only bottled in California.
