Exactly what I needed
As I am remodeling the kitchen and removed one big window in order to accommodate the wall cabinets, there was one dark spot in the corner of the kitchen and my wife wasn't happy. Well... she's happy now, so do I. Let me just mention that I am a contractor and I installed many of this in the past 25 years, it only takes about 2 hours to install the whole thing if you know what to do but it might take a little longer for the home owner but I will suggest to hire someone who knows roofing because that's the critical part of the installation, otherwise you may have water leaks when rains. I purchased the 14" because this is the biggest one that fits in between the rafters and ceiling joist. Definitely I will recommend Velux, they do make quality products as I know their products for many years but I gave only 3 stars to the value because the price is way too high for just a tubular skylight. I will consider purchasing another one for a different area of the house, but I will wait for the price to drop down. Overall I am happy with the product!PS. If anyone needs an additional 4" of flex tube, I will be happy to send it to you free, I only had to use half of it for mine.

Good value for product.
Easy install. Good directions. Nice inside finish look. Frosted light buffer blocks more sun than I’d like. Could remove it, but then you’d see the flexible solar tube and underside of roof level tube cap.

Return not possible
They did not give a lot of time as far as the Covid night teen problems and contractors not being able to install our skylight. When I asked them to pass on to the seller if I could return them due to the contractor just now getting to my skylight, they said no return. They are not long enough and I’m not going to be able to use them and now I’m stuck with them! Very disappointed That they couldn’t make an exception in this case.

installation takes about 2 hours if you've done it before. 3 to 31/2 if it's your first time. instruction were OK. just takes time to figure out where to put it and cut the holes. Follow the instruction sequence. it does help. works well. brightened up a dark corner in a apartment we have. decent quality. would recommend.

Brilliant
We just love these in our kitchen. It was always dark and dingy but now it's bright and cheery. Love it and highly recommend these. Make sure you have someone who knows how to install. I had a great contractor for the job.
