This was perfect for the small job I needed it for. It’s nice that when folded down, the blade is not exposed so you can carry it without worrying about injury. The saw blade is sharp and good for small jobs. No issues with the blade moving.

I didn't think to check the weight. I probably would have searched for a lighter one if I had. It weighed 8.5 ounces on two of my scales. Nevertheless, I will use this backpacking on occasions where I expect to build a shelter or where it is legal to have a fire. I also might trim some trees in they yard if I have to.

THe only thing I didn't like about this saw is that it only locks in one position (well, two if you hyper extend the blade. That said, it would have been nice if there was a lock position at about 3/4 open. But as for the performance, it cuts cleanly, quickly and securely. Feels good in the hand and cuts as it should!

As with any saw, the back stroke is the power stroke. That said, this thing is sharp and it cuts through dry or green branches with ease.It locks closed and open which is a nice feature. The weight is just right. Not to heavy and not flimsy.My only complaint is there's enough play in the blade when unlocked that it can catch on the handle either side of the groove so you have to help guide the blade closed.

This saw is compact, sharp, and does the job! It’s nice that it is red so it doesn’t get lost when setting down. I’ve used this about 10 times and it is still quite sharp! I highly recommend this product for the price!!

This is a great tool to have easy to use, very sharp so be careful, light weight would love to have several of these around ... Great Product I ordered a 2nd one they work great when you are out and about on 4 wheeler rides so we got a extra one for each ride..

This saw worked fine on the tree branch that was too thick for clippers. It is a little hard to release the lock to open it, but when it is finally open and in locked position it works well. The blade is serrated and sharp enough for cutting 2-3 inch tree branches. I haven’t tried anything thicker than that. It works well for my needs in my patio garden.
