Exceptional swr out of the box, easily tuned. I have a galaxy DX-959 radio and this has good clear reception and decent range for the prive. I was wasn't impressed when paired with the K40 20k watt coil whip or the k40+ 6k watt whip. The Browning flat coil 63" antenna is still my favorite for the price though.
