Will this slide on carpet without the wheels?

It might, but then again it might not. I would wonder why you would not want to install the wheels? After checking there is a bolt on the table support arm that is on the bottom of the frame that might prevent the frame from sliding on the carpet, or even sitting flat on any surface. !

Warranty: vendor’s website says 60 days, Amazon listing says “lifetime” - which is it?

If Amazon receipt say "lifetime" and the vendor says 60 days, keep Amazon receipt and file agasinst them if necessary

Does this table actually tilt please?

It does not tilt. It is height adjustable though. A good table for the money. You can spend a little more and get one that tilts.
