Works great. Folks like it. However, make sure you know where you install it.
We use this as the power source on the kitchen counter top. You need to make sure you have enough space underneath and you have an outlet to plug this unit into. It has to have room for the cylinder to descend into. So you cant place it where the drawers are in cabinetry. So in our case we mounted it in the space behind the dishwasher and placed an outlet inside the sink base to plug it in to. It would love it if this unit has the soft automatic pop up. It is more basic. Just grab it and pull it out. However, the automatic ones are much more expensive. We have used this before a few times.

Works good!
Has worked perfect for us, the only thing we would change is not having to pull up to open. We were kind of expecting a button and it pops up some then you pull up. But it's alright. .it still does the job and doesn't look cheesy.

Pop-up Mechanism Gets Stuck Easily. Odd, non-standard dimensions.
The pop-up mechanism gets stuck. Push down, and it doesn't come back up. I had to wedge a screwdriver under the top piece to pry it up. The issue has to do with the construction. The plastic body is easy compressed when inserted into a 3" hole. The specs call for a 3.15" cutout, but this is not a standard size in the U.S., so there are no rotary bits that match this dimension. I had to bore out a 3" hole to get it wide enough to slot the body in. However, even a slightly snug fit compressed the body enough where the pop-up section gets stuck. My solution is to simply have them "popped-up" all of the time. No biggie where it's installed in my custom closet, but probably not ideal for a desk.My contractor grade countertop ones used in my kitchen have a much sturdier metal frame, but cost about 8x as much. You get what you pay for.

Perfect for my needs, one thing not great
First off, this was easy to use. Plenty of cable, easy to put in. Install took me maybe 2 minutes because I had a hole ready. It's easy to open and close. My only gripe is that the USB-C port has little power flow. I plugged my phone in with a variety of cables and I kept getting warnings that it isn't getting enough power flow to charge. So that port is useless. Kind of a big stink on an otherwise really great product.

Update: replacement unit has same usb-c connector issues. Downgrading to 1 star. Looking for new brand that fits same size hole.Looks awesome in my new office desk. Love the potential. However, I saw another reviewer’s negative comment on the usb-c connector and I should have listened. I plugged my iPad in wouldn’t charge, unplugged flipped plug 180 and tried again…it worked! Shouldn’t need to do that with a new unit. But then charge speed is really slow! The box was open when I received it. Maybe a returned unit? I’ll try to replace it and hope for better luck…I already drilled a 3 1/8” hole in my beautiful butcher block :/
