Excellent Flavorful Spice
This was the best combo of spices to comprise Ras El Hanout, which means "top shelf." Before buying, check ingredients for the combination which varies from company to company. Many are heavy on the cinnamon, others on black pepper. This version used a wide variety of sweet and savory spices and the flor is awesome. My only complaint was that I ordered the spice in May '24 and it came with a freshness expiration of June '24. Obviously, it is still good, but such a short expiration should not be the case, no way you're going to use that much in a month. (Most of my rarer spices are around for one year or more). I fault Amazon for the expiration date. On would hope they would keep better track.

Lovely blend!
Great flavors, not overrun with baking spices as many RAH blends are. So far we've used it on lamb, chicken, and roasted potatoes. All tasty!

As an amateur cook and food lover, it should be pretty obvious that great spices make home cooked meals taste like restaurant quality. I was really surprised how much I liked this spice since I sprinkled my salmon very generously with it.Definitely getting this one again and probably going to taste all the spices. It is the same cost as getting it from trader joes but much more worth it in terms of taste and making some boring meals really sing!

I highly recommend this spice blend. We tried this spice on a butternut squash recipe and was pleasantly surprised. This blend accomplished everything that you would expect. This blend boasts a savory foundation with pleasant floral notes. I could not believe the flavor that came out of simple red bell pepper in the dish that I prepared. Try cubing a butternut squash, small zucchini, medium-sized sweet potato, and one red bell pepper. Mix by hand in a large bowl along with a healthy tablespoon of the Ras El Hanout blend and a tablespoon or so of olive oil or rice bran oil (higher smoke point and great flavor). Bake in the oven at 425°F on a cookie sheet till your taste and tenderness is obtained (likely 20-30 mins.)
