Everyone kept telling me white vinegar was the way to go. Even the plumber. So just to test this vs vinegar I ran the vinegar for 1 hour (clear pic), then I ran this for 1 hour (yellow bucket). This was the very clear (or not) winner. Probably depends on what kind of deposits your fighting but this did far better for me.

I did not know you were supposed to flush a tankless water heater. I went about 6 years without doing it. I started the flush and came back about 70 minutes later and the water was very dirty looking. I was shocked to know that was in the unit. Thinking I will do it again in 6 months just because it was so dirty then once a year after that. I will be curious how dirty it is in 6 months. I just hope I did not damage the unit not flushing it up to their point. By the way, the plumber wanted $160 I think. The pump, hoses, and flush were much cheaper than that. Now it will only be $20 a year. I would recommend contacting or reading how to flush your particular model. I called them and they sent me steps I would have missed.

Order arrived quickly. My tankless heater had not been descaled in 5 years, and I was really concerned how effective this maintenance would be; especially since I should have been doing this annually! But I was successful, and this stuff works great! I will use it again. Just don’t get this stuff on you or get near the vapors! It’s a bit pricey, but I would recommend it. I will order it again next year!

Well, it's a fluid and it mixes in a gallon of water; it does not get easier than that. They made it clear so you can see what it takes off of the hot water heater coils. The only thing that would make this better is if there was a way to not have a throw away plastic bottle, but that is asking a lot.
